That we need a number 1 reciever. How many 3rd downs did we fail on tonight? I just wish we could get a wide reciever the elk of

Chad Johnson
Joe Horn
TO,etc

We have too many number 2 recievers on this team. Tonights game was a prime example of having no go to guys when the game was on the line. I like Glenn and Key, but there not number 1's anymore. Its hard, I know, but we need a TO to back these defenses off Jones.

If Johnson, Owens or Horn had made that 17-yard catch on third down, Adams still would have been flagged for holding.

I thought it was a bogus call myself. If they're gonna call THAT then they might as well call holding on both teams on every play cuz worse holding then that takes place every friggin' play.

They missed that hold on Ellis on their first TD pass

Penalties didn't lose us this game, and I think they should incorporate Price more into the passing game.

That may night be everything we need, but we need something more.

There were more 3rd downs then that series. How about on the final drive? I think its an obvious need.

We don't have that receiver, but we can win with what we have. We beat ourselves early in that game - I was screaming at them early on to not be so conservative or it might bite us in the arse, and it did.

We kept playing around with this team, and they snuck up from behind us and did a prisoner move.
And even if you have that receiver, all they have to do is double down on him and shadow him with a lb underneath and a safety over the top - so you must learn to take your strongest area (4 number 2 receivers in this case) and torch teams 3rd and 4th corners.

You can't let a team like Washington hang around, you have to capitalize on scoring opportunities. But this loss can't be blamed on one player or coach, it was a group effort.

I agree with about 90 percent of that. Just, our O seems to be missing a sense of arrogance. Key has seemed to have stopped talking smack anymore and besides Jones it would appear the rest of the O is lifeless at times. Wheres the big nasty on this team or the character Nate Newtown. We just need more swagger.

So true. There was a lot of shoulda...woulda....coulda last night. A team loss. As the Giants won handily in their extra home game, we are now sharing the cellar with the Eagles. In 2003 a late comeback in NY in Week 2 put Dallas on the road to 10-6 season and the Giants on the road to a difficult season. I hope the team responds to this adversity. We'll see.

Great point on the reciever, we need a #1. Maybe price can help out. Adams call was questionable at best..

That's it - we let them hang around. That's what I miss most about Jimma, he went for the jugular, Parcells just tries to eat up the clock.

Remember when we went for the Jugular vs the Steelers last year?
