We proably couldn't overcome 5 turnovers. Jc wouldnt have 5 Picks anyway. He doesn't have the gun slinger mentality like romo does.

You mean Gibbs is too chickens**t to let Campbell act like a real, honest to God NFL QB... but you're right, Campbell would be on the bench after the 3rd int... LOL...

Lets give Kevin a little bit of a break guys, even on ES he has grudingly came around on certain topics even though he throws some of his admitted homerism in we all do for the most part.

Dont hold ES against him let him live or die on this board on his posts he makes here.

I think the point was to demonstrate that Kevin is POSING as a reasonable football fan in search of serious football talk in here, and his posts at ES demonstrate the truth of that...

I figure he's trying to con some of us into saying something semi-complimentary about the Skins, so that he can take that back to ES saying "see, they're scared of playing us"...

You mention him on your forum is enough of proof that you get worked up.

Well, I guess falling down laughing is a kind of "worked up"...

Which is more or less how I react to YOUR posts over there... ES is some funny, funny shiznit...

I live in the Shenandoah Valley, and am such a knowledgeable football fan that I even know the Skins better than most of their so-called fans do...

Yes, our games against Minny and Buffalo were close but in the end we won which is something the Skins seems to have trouble doing. Skins were ahead of the Eagles and couldn't get it done. You couldn't get it done against the Giants a few weeks back either. We aren't the Giants nor the Eagles and we will stump you even if the game slightly closer then usual because of our traditional rivalry. Don't forget Giants held Romo to around 240 yards and he still throw for 4 TDs & they had an experienced QB while you have the inexperienced Campbell.

Yes, that is typically what the definition of a "bandwagon fan" is.

Here in the Washington DC Metro area, however, any and all Cowboys fans are labeled as "bandwagon fans" by the extreme Skins crowd. This label is usually accompanied by the oft-repeated claim that said Cowboys fans "can't name 5 players on the Cowboys." It's always 5, by the way. They must put that in the Skins fan handbook.

My response to that would be back in the last strike season, by the time the Cowboys' replacment team took the field, I could give you the height, weight, 40 time and school of every last one of those scabs...

This was back before I had a computer, you don't EVEN wanna know what my long distance phone bill was like; as soon as I learned the Cowboys had signed a player, I was on the phone with the SID of the school that player attended, getting all the info I could...

Bet you none of those "knowledgeable" fans at ES who were fans that far back could have given you that kind of info on any 5 players on THEIR scab team...

It's a really old and tired shtick here.

Well, he's a One Trick Pony
One trick was all that horse could do
He did that one trick only
It's the principal source of his revenue... :D

yea. But, we play good football for 30 minutes. Too bad, the game cant be turned off.

Maybe the Skins could change uniforms at halftime, and Gibbs could tell them they're playing a doubleheader, about to start the first half of the second game...

Wow, I really could probably do a better job of coaching the Skins than Gibbs has, and I purely HATE them... :D

There is certainly more than that, to make this rivalry great.

Commanders winning or losing would not surprise me.
Commanders playing the Dolphins again and losing wouldn't surprise me.

What concerns me most about this game is:

1. It seems to me that Dallas has played better on the road than at home.

and

2. The nature of this great rivalry should give Commander fans hope. Many times, the weaker team has won.

That said, getting the vibe from the attitude of the Cowboys this season, I seriously doubt #2 will rear its ugly head on Sunday. It might on the final week if Dallas has nothing to play for (meaning that their playoff seed is already locked up).

You got me. I was extremely mad about how many of our fans completely gave up hope. When we lose, i get either extremely mad or devoid of emotion. You ever read ES after we lose, youll know what I mean by giving up hope.

Thread was titled:Dallas will destroy us..
Blah, blah. I Thought it was a joke that they forget how you cant count a team in this division game or any division game. You guys should know this. I figured you should've learned that from last year.

**** happens. Like what Crayton said after the pats(Might be off), "the sun shines on a dogs *** sometimes" We could be the dogs ***.

Your right. I dont really care about what you have to say about our team. I usually like to come to teams forums before we play to see what they say about us.

I agree. I read the thread. I bleed B&G was a troll.
You know what kevin? You seem all right to me. I can tell you really love your team. I respect that a lot. I can tell you hate our team. I actually respect that too. But I can see that even within the hatred you've got a respect for the game as a whole.

:welcome: to the Zone. I hope you enjoy it here.

I'll tell you something I rarely tell you guys. If I jump right in the middle of something you say, don't take it so friggin' serious.

Here's to an injury free game.

It is still a good rivalry but not the same as when George Allen was the HC for the Skins. In recent years it has not been much of one.

I've lived in both Philly and here in DC, and I've never met one of these so-called "bandwagon" fans, and I always engage a fellow star-wearer in conversation when I come across one. Some know more than others, but I've never met a Cowboys fan in either place who wasn't passionate and well-informed about their team.

That "bandwagon" argument really holds no water, as Redsk*n fans have been flinging it against the wall for years, even in times when the Cowboys have stunk. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense... our team hasn't won a playoff game in over a decade and its all bandwagon fans wearing Cowboys stars here in Virginia.

You find me ONE Cowboys fan who can't name 5 Cowboys players and I will wear a Sean Taylor jersey to the game on Sunday.

Alot of you guys think you should crush us and you should. THis game should around 38-17 crush. Late TD... On paper, you are better than us in every category except maybe TE and RB. You guys give a slight edge or a wash. Our Secondary would be better if we had Taylor playing. Who BTW is #3 in votes for DPOY. :) It sucks that we got hurt and I expect us to get burned and thrashed down the midde. On paper, this game wont be close.Too bad, it isnt played on paper. You guys have the right to think that you will beat us like a red-headed step child. I cant blame you. Im preparing to get beat bad. I already got the let down of the year when we played the pats. I thought the game would be close and we would beat the spread. Turns out i was wrong. :(

Too bad, it will be a close game. Skins and Dallas games are the best in the NFC cause no matter the record or how the team plays, they are always played to the end and are exciting or vice versa(close games turn to blowouts). Examples: Last year @ FedEx, Dallas crush @ CHristmas (you might have been favored but nobody expected a blow out) 1991 Dallas game, 1983(championship game) Sorry, Im a young fan and i dont remember past 2000, very well. You guys can post some examples if you want.

Now, I predict a score of around 28-17. Romo has another 200 yard passing game. We contain the running backs under 100 yards, though. A INT by Newman for TD makes the game out of hand, late.

Stat predictons:

TO: 6 catches for 80 yards 1 TD/morelike 10 catches 160 yds 2 td
Witten:4 catches for 50 yards. /more like 8 catches 82 yes 1 td
barber:15 rushes for 60 yards..1 TD
Romo: 22-30 256 yards 1 TDs/Romo: 21-29 302 yards 3 TD,s

you give your team way too much credit, it will be a blowout...and no, your TE and RB are not better than ours, i've read your posts and every other posts on your forums, most say it will be a blow out, and all worried about one player taylor, unfortunately for you guys taylor cannot cover every one of our weapons....too bad for u

Campbell 24-36...I think the OC lets campbell play his own game. 220 yards 2 TD 1 INT 1 fumble
Portis:20 carries for 80 yards.

Cooley:7 catches for 80 yards..1 td

It should be a good game, but the better team will win. :bang2:

Congrats on finding a gem QB and a great offense.
I also have a few questions:

Do you feel the reason you guys are as good as you are now was because of Parcells or Philips? I got in with an argument with a Commanders fan on how Gibbs and Parcells jobs in Dallas and DC were not as easy as ppl make them out to be. They got players to make their team better. Look @ the roster before they came and then look at what it is now.

Do the bandwagon fans that know nothing about football sometimes piss you off? I hate the VA cowboy fans that cant even name 5 players. Think Jones is a way better back then Barber. And, Dont even watch their team but still talk **** when they win. Yes, Every team has bandwagon fans. but, still...

You guys contained TO from being a ***** and he is being a great player.Good job.

Cheers to a hard fought win by the Commanders! :)

No injuries and a well fought hard hitting game where ARE exposes RW. :)

Dallas averages 32.9 points per game.
Washinton averages 19.7 points per game.

Dallas' worst game was 24 points.
Washington's best game was 34 points.

It only makes sense that for Washington to win:

We have to have our absolute worst game and they have to have a good game.
or
They have to have their absolute best game and we have to be average or worse.

That's an awfull lot to ask either way as both scenarios pretty much assume that Washington somehow steps it up bigtime with some of their best players missing AND despite us playing at home, we would have to lay a clunker.

:p: Well, I was right. We played tough...Both defenses were exposed.
Both had a hard time stopping each other.

Taylor is a big miss and I hope he gets well soon.

JC and ROmo are the best QBs in the division. I take back what I said about Mcnabb and romo. So, is JC average and will never be good?:lmao2:
Romo is a top 5 Qb. Ive realized this.

COver 2 is the worse zone coverage in the history of the NFL. Why do teams play it against good teams?

:banghead: Neither of us can be mad. Im proud of my team and I will be wearing my moss jersey tomorrow. Now, I end it by saying **** the cowboys.
