This game will tell us a lot about the Cowboys

Remember last year when we beat the Giants in the opener and then completely no-showed against Seattle in week 2? If that happens again then I think it's the same ole Cowboys. But if we show we can take care of business and beat an inferior team on the road like we should, well then maybe Garrett does have us headed in the right direction.

I don't think we no-showed against SEA. I think they just clocked us like they did everybody else at home. They were a better team than we were, across the board last year.

I agree completely, this will tell us how the year is going to go. If we show up and its a close game that's fine I don't expect to crush the chiefs in KC, their home field adv is nasty.

And Idgit we definitely did no show against Seattle just re watch the game, we were garbage in all aspects

Granted Seattle was a better team, but we just didn't seem to have our heads in the game. The tone was set with Felix fumbling the opening kickoff.

This is one of the things I didn't like about the Giants game. We never manage to put the brakes on teams. Offensively, we aren't consistent, and defensively we struggle to keep teams out of it. Hoping this changes this season.

Agreed. I told my son when we were up 27-10 that Dallas would end up making it a nail biter.

I think KC is a QB away from being a very good team and will give the Cowboys all they can handle on Sunday.

KC is definitely no pushover, but I think we are the better team and should win but I agree it won't be easy.

I just want them to string some victories together, sustain the fire and not play up and down like they have done the last several years. Thus .500 team. It has seemed recently like they relax their intensity, focus and hunger after a victory, and play lower than expectations. So it is important for the Boys to win and show it aint the same ole, same ole. Play hard and hungry.

We handed Seattle 10 points on special teams then Tony threw a pick deep in their territory. That's how the game started. We actually played well the rest of the first half but then were totally dominated in the second half.

I don't know if we'll win Sunday but I expect us to come out ready to play w no letup

Agreed

If we bumble and penalize our way to a lose it may be the same old Cowboys

Last year, they rolled the Giants on opening night and probably went in overconfident. This year, not so much, so hopefully they will be more prepared. Last season's week 2 loss taught them a lesson to not overlook an opponent, unless it is Jax :D

They "clocked" 4 opponents at home and were tested in their other 4 home games even the Rams gave them a battle.

I agree - this Week 2 feels a lot like last year. At this time last year we didn't know how good the Seahawks were - just that they were a decent, young, up-and-coming team. The 2013 Chiefs probably won't be as good as the 2012 Seahawks, but I really respect them, and I wouldn't be shocked if the Alex Smith/Andy Reid upgrade is enough to take them all the way to 9-7 or even 10-6 (which is what the Seahawks should have been last year, albeit in a tougher conference).

If we win this game, even by 1 point, it would go a long way toward feeling that this team is different.

Yeah ok....

Around here, every week will tell us a lot about the team. Even in a win.

Lose? Have a panic attack, rant and spill your guts on cowboyszone, and then proceed to find the nearest bridge.

I don't think we'll like what we learn about the Cows after this one:
Kc - 20
Dal - 6

Gee what a shock coming from you. Promise to come back and admit how wrong you were? The Cowboys (not Cows) may lose but it won't be putting up single digit points and it will be close.

Dallas is not favored and is therefore not for sure supposed to win. It's really a toss up,IMO, even though KC is favored by 2.5.
I do think Dallas pulls it Ou though.
KC has a clear advantage on both lines--especially that Oline.
But Dallas has the better QB and overall skill players...linebackers too.
Because its at Arrowhead, it will be a real battle. Turnovers again could be huge.
