As I said before, I live in the middle of gints country here in central NY.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! These guys (fans) are ready to hang up after last nite.:lmao:

I couldn't see all the game because of having to go into work really early I had to hit the sheets., but when everyone else got into work ,The Crying began.

I've been watching the FAN (sports network from N.Y.) and some of the calls are hilarious.:lmao2:

I'm loving it.:jints:

They should hang it up for at least 3 reasons...

1. Eli is not the second coming... Tony Romo is
2. Their injuries are haunting them and are still rolling in.
3. Their lack of pass rush exposed their secondary and showed how bad they really are. They made Rex look like Romo :laugh2:

Seems like we and the eagles have an open door.

Eli had a very bad game. Does it mean he is a bust? Not even close. It will take time for him to adjust without Toomer being there. But, injuries or not on defense, he was a big part of the reason why the Giants lost.

Also, not to sound like it is an excuse, the injuries on defense and to Petitgout certainly did not help. Whitfield is too old to be a starter so they need to find a replacement. Although, they could shuffle Diehl to LT and move Seubert to G.

The Giants are going to start getting players back on defense this week and everyone with the possible exception of Strahan will be back by the time the Giants host the Cowboys.

Hey Tom.

Would you please just become a regular here? 23 posts in 2 years is insulting bra. :wink2:

Not only what you say above, but that defense isn't exactly easy to play and the Special Teams stuff hurts as well.

Agreed, Tom. Don't know why anyone would think Eli is a bust. There are a bunch of teams out there that would love to have him as their starter. That said, we have to be pretty happy with ours right now!

people like to go overboard for the sheer effect of it. eli is a good prospect and he had a bad game. the same fans bagging him for it now will find any excuse in the world for romo when romo has a bad day at the office.

the giants have been hit by some bad injuries this year and it's hard for any team to overcome that. in all, i still think they have a good team but like dallas, has bad days they're not good enough to compensate for.

yet.

Eli has shown a lot of inconsistency. He has always had accuracy problems resulting in incompletions and INTs. The Bears defense didnt even have to pressure him to have him throwing wild. Anyone watch the game? I'm not saying he is a BUST YET, but I know if I was a Giant fan I would be feeling like we have for the past 8 years or so.

where in Central NY do you live. I grew up in Gloversville which is 30 minutes outside of Saratoga.

When you preface an excuse with a "not to sound like an excuse" it equals an excuse

Yeah, being entrenched in Giants country (NJ) makes me appreciate when they lose...

I hope they don't go far at all, but you have to admit, they looked like they were going to - and still might.

We know the affects of losing player after player as well as anyone and it's not an excuse, it's a hard reality. I'd feel better knowing the Cowboys could go into Giants stadium with the G-man at full strength and knock the crap out of them.
