Eagles, 2 games against the Giants. We lose and it is the end of the season because we don't deserve to win.

I'm...not following.

We need to beat the Fins and the Cards if we want any chance of making the playoffs. If this team "belongs" it needs to beat the sub-par teams.

Win those two games, split with the Giants and beat the Eagles at home and we deserve to be in the playoffs.

this...

I think 10-6 gets us the division. That leaves us a little wiggle room.

But if we lose to the Dolphins, that wiggle room disappears.

I think we split with the Giants, and will probably drop one more against either them or the Eagles.

We can't afford to give away anymore games. We gave up two already, and almost gave up another one last week.

We don't tend to lay down in our house on Thanksgiving and Matt Moore is a solid bet to give us a break early. We need to capitalize better than we did last week.

we are not at full strength
but should win this game
but we can easily lose if we play poorly or the bounces go against us
but it is not a must win any more than any other game

I also believe this is a must win. Mathematically it isn't. Realistically it is. Got to beat inferior teams at home if you want to make the playoffs. Especially this time of year when we're tied for first. I don't want to have to depend on the Giants and Eagles losing.

This is most decidedly *not* a must win. There are any number of scenarios that have us winning the division while losing this game. For Pete's sake, we can lose this game and still finish two games up on the other NFCE contenders.

However, to your point, losing this game or the game in Arizona would put a lot of pressure on us to beat the Eagles, which is something I would rather not count on.

Split with the Giants? Yeah, I'm OK with assuming that. Beat TB? Yeah, that too. Beat the Eagles with the division and playoffs on the line? We've done it before, but I'd be really nervous.

If the Cowboys put forth their best effort, I think they win easily.

If they put forth their best effort and lose, so be it. If that happens, no one should fold up the tents and declare the season over, though. The Cowboys won't do it, and their fans shouldn't either.

This is ridiculous. Why must everything be taken to extremes? It's not even close to a must win. We are in first place in the division with two games in hand against our only real competitor in the division.

It's mentalities like this that lead to jumping off a cliff if we lose to a team we should beat.

I just hope Red actually has the team ready because this it the Dolphin's superbowl. They're going to go all out and the D that played on Sunday won't cut it against Brandon Marshall.

I'm really tired of people saying every game is a "Must-win." It really dilutes and waters down the meaning of the term.

I'm tired of the threads every week about it being a must win, but every week IS a must win unless you've clinched a playoff spot.

You're right. I forget this is a forum.

Maybe you should post a list of topics which you are "tired" of and we'll try to oblige you.

I'm sorry, where did I say the threads shouldn't be made anymore because I don't like them? I'll just wait here...
