Much to come down the pike his week. By Friday, I suspect we'll know:

1. If Hardy plans to appeal his suspension, which could make him available for Atlanta and New Orleans, two teams and quarterbacks that he knows very well.

2. If Dez will play under a long-term contract or the franchise tag.

3. If the Cowboys will face Tom Brady in Week 5.

My predictions are:

1. No he won't appeal.

2. Yes, he'll sign long-term.

3. Yes, he'll play against Dallas.

The news I want to hear, and hear today is DEZ signed to a long term contract.

I don't know what the deadline time is on Wednesday, but I wouldn't expect you'll hear until then.

Denver waiting for Dallas, and Dallas is waiting for Denver. I think that stalls it to the bitter end.

The most important question. The others are short term issues and we can win those games with a yes or no answer. No one wants to see the Dez contract situation drag on for another year. Nothing positive can come from this continuing to be an issue.

And, specifically in terms of Hardy's possible future appeal. Is it a foregone conclusion that he would receive two games? It seems to be taken as such, but given that his case was thrown out and he wasn't ultimately found guilty, should he actually face any guaranteed suspension?

I think Hardy appeals, Dez does not sign long term (signs tender before camp ends) and Brady's suspension gets reduced

the team and Bryant must agree to a new deal by 3 p.m. Wednesday or Bryant will play under the franchise tag, per the Dallas Morning-News.

like I said in the other threat I don't think he gets signed long term and he will play under the tag and I think its a mistake for that to happen.

A mistake on Dez' part. Not the Cowboys.

Dallas' deadline is NEXT summer.

I thought we'd hear from the Hardy front today regarding the appeal.

Hardy's already been forced to miss 17 games (15 regular and 2 playoff games), they want him to miss 4 more for a total of 21 games. I know, 17 with, 4 w/o pay, but time on the field is the most precious commodity players have. If they want him to lose money, they should just fine him more (which is still ludicrous in my mind).

I hope Brady's appeal becomes zero games...thus more criticism for Goodelle.

I hope Dez's camp and the Cowboys both realize they're better with each other than w/o, and they come to an agreement in the 11th hour.

I just don't see a Dez deal being done. I don't know what this team is thinking.. I understand letting Murray go, but you have to pay Dez. Romo has 2-3 more years? I don't know about you folks.. but I remember when Roy Williams was our #1.

Of course Brady will play... Dallas vs. New England will be a ratings juggernaut if he does...

I think Hardy does need to move on - he needs to get past all the press on this and rehab his image.

After today - and the new stuff coming out on the collusion complaint which generated with Dez, I can see things getting ugly here. I truly think Jerry needs to step in and work on this deal as Steph is a good personnel man but he's not good with people like Jerry.

I expect Brady does get his suspension reduced substantially - there really is no evidence implicating him.

My guess would be Yes to all three. I can't see the NFLPA not defending a player who was given a two game increase over what was already set as a precedent by the league. Failing to do so would make them look like they're not doing their job.

That said, I wouldn't get my shorts in a bunch if they don't. I can live with the 6 game reduction to what was an obscene abuse of power in the first place. Hopefully Goodell gets the message and they construct a standardized policy that clearly defines what an offense is and what the punishment is for said offense. This shouldn't be solely in his hands. Once we have clarification, all these lawsuits can be put to rest.

I agree get these things done and then give Goodell the electric chair.
