Since there was no off season makes it make even more sense to run a scheme that fits the players not a scheme the players have to fit. This was not the year to install new schemes with not having OTA's or mini camps to start the process.

Kind of a side step fron the main topic, but I agree and heard something last night that falls in line with this.
@Techsass posted an interview with Nolan from Monday. A reporter asked him about everything going on, shortening the preseason and essentially detonating any hopes of installing the new systems.
He flat out said that there's a ton Dallas cannot do because they missed so much time building. The way that I heard it pretty much, is that the product we see on the field is bare minimum due to the circumstances that didn't allow proper training for implementation.
It was a decent interview and kind of helped shed some light on some general concerns about the defense itself.
