Granted 81 points have come off turnovers but it still doesn't excuse the defense from doing its job. Just me, but I'm blowing up this D at the end of the seasons. Only Hill, LVE, Aldon Smith, and Diggs are safe. DLaw and Jaylon stay ( only coz of their contracts ) but will either earn their starting jobs or backup.

What is worse is that neither the coaches nor the players accept that they are really bad. All those stats and showings on the field don't change anything forward looking. We have a FO that doesn't value safeties and this team have been being killed in that position for years. How can we really expect an improvement in any near future?

I've always believed defense is mostly attitude (as in I'm kicking your axx all game) from not 9 or 10 but ALL 11 starters. Hell the league is filled with 4.4 CBs, or 300lb DTs, or 250lb+ DEs but the difference is how bad want it. It's no coincidence players suddenly become good/great close to contract time.

Hate to say it but this is GREAT....this owner needs a wake up call and embarrassing him might be the only way to light a fire to fix the defense.

based on what we saw last night this team is done for 2020, we will be lucky to win 6 games. Hopefully we keep playing the young guys and do some evaluations bc come offseason we’re gonna have some house cleaning going on

Whose to blame? Coaches? Players? Down right embarrassing!

Exactly ........I'm putting ALL starters on notice

Basically we need to rebuild most the defense in one offseason.

Tonight I confirmed what I have suspected THIS SEASON. Dak is the engine on this offense. It didn't use to be that way but it is now.

Id love to get Chicago to take Zeke off our hands, since they need someone better than Montgomery and they are in contention. Pipe dream.

Then I'd move Gallup. Yeah it sucks but we aren't re-signing him and we probably aren't trading Coop.

Then I'd hire Zimmer (dreaming) and use damn near every possible asset on defense to rebuild this thing. We may not be able to get spash free agents, but some contributors, a solid draft and coaching can still make this team a force.

I get how stupid that sounds, but the offense can succeed with a little help from the defense. All I know is Dak made a lot of money from the couch tonight.

Here is the real bad down side to winning 6 games. What if we still win the division.
We currently pick 11th in the draft. However win the division, that drops to 19th. Huge difference. If it was 16th or 17th, ok. But 8 spots with this team needing so much help.
This is bad as well.

I am usually on the just make it to the playoffs wagon. But now, for this big of a difference, I am not. They best get to 8 wins to make it worth it. And I just do not see it. Not from last night.

Jeff Heath looks real good, about now......and at least he would lay the wood on somebody.

We have Gallup for another year. Not sure why everyone says we aren't signing him. That is too far away, 2022.
Trading away players will not help. So we get 1 or 2 more draft picks, if anyone would trade for any player. They have not shown how to utilize those picks on defense.

The whole team needs to be rebuilt starting with the defense. This is a team of bad proportions and really bad contracts on both sides of the football.

Because this year is a wash and next year is his contract year. Why let an asset expire? Unless you believe we can move Coop? I cant see us paying another WR, but MAYBE the timing lines up perfectly?

yeah I get it....better to be terrible than just bad....and I don’t usually support the tanking concept either....this team is going to probably get at least 3 wins total this year including the giants game, against the nfce which gets them to 4 and they will probably get a surprise win here or there too....not much you can do there .

4-12 would be much better for the trams future Than 6-10 but can’t really control that

Agree about Gallup......only way he doesn't get resigned is he's asking for WR#1 money. Think when Alvin Harper left the Cowboys and sign with the Bucs as THE GUY.

true but at this point I can’t see beating the eagles

Just me, I'm guessing we easily keep Gallup over Coop. Let Coop walk after 2021.....
