This is bad

I know we all like Gallup....but he has been very average this year.

if we can get a 2nd for him we should trade him- b it we won’t.

I used to think Cooper was the one to go, But Gallup has been very disappointing so far.

I think this is more confirming of the end than being bad. IMO, it worse than when Randy White went to the sidelines for the first time with a thigh injury to start an era of losing.

Because this year is a wash and next year is his contract year. Why let an asset expire? Unless you believe we can move Coop? I cant see us paying another WR, but MAYBE the timing lines up perfectly?

Cooper's contract is written, they can release him and sign Gallup with the money saved. Or keep Cooper, and let Gallup move on.
I know what you are saying, so it depends on where they are at next year. Get a 1st or 2nd, or keep him, and decide in the off-season, at least get a comp pick.
And there is no guarantee they could get a 1st round pick for him.

If they are winning, you keep him for the playoffs. Only try trades if they suck again.

Im probably jumping the gun, because Im sick and tired of never getting compensation for our unretained assets.

Gallup has not been disappointing, but he has not been lights out, but that should not be expected either. Not sure what everyone else expected of him, to be that guy. But I think he has been pretty decent considering a lot of balls he would have got, have gone to CeeDee and the emergence of Schultz. Also Moore's insistence of all the not so good screen passes to Zeke. It is like they are forced plays.

However, we will not get a kings ransom for him in a trade. But I would not accept a 2nd round pick for him. Not at this point. I would not trade him at all. Unless a team offers a 1st round. We can always make that trade even waiting until next season.

Just me, I'm guessing we easily keep Gallup over Coop. Let Coop walk after 2021.....
Ive been saying this I dont get trying to get rid of Gallup when you have him for one more year and after that Coop contract can be gotten out of You keep Gallup let Cooper walk. Your starting WR Cee Dee Gallup and Wilson.

Granted 81 points have come off turnovers but it still doesn't excuse the defense from doing its job. Just me, but I'm blowing up this D at the end of the seasons. Only Hill, LVE, Aldon Smith, and Diggs are safe. DLaw and Jaylon stay ( only coz of their contracts ) but will either earn their starting jobs or backup.

81 points off turnovers is amazing. Clown car.
