Oh please great Hos Gump, tell us again about your super-secret calls from spare, undrafted OU defensive safeties, and their agent's. We love those engaging, bedtime foibles.

Yawn.

No kidding. Just messes up the poor guy's overall look.

And it's worse when he makes that funny face. Hard to describe, but you know whenever he has a wide-eyed look.

I just know that whenever I see that look, he goes from attractive guy to dork-looking.

Ah....come on. I'd say if Morrison, James Dean, Elvis, the Beatles, etc., in their day had worn a backward baseball cap, the girls would have REALLY gone wild!!!! Nerds would then be hip!!!!

You saw someone though. It doesn't have to be me. I'm just telling you no one did it when I used to. You can believe it, or not. I don't care. Plenty of people who know me since those days will back me up because ti drove people nuts.

Probably another reason why I never turned it around.

i've worn them backwards since i played ball in 75 as a kid. while playing i'd wear it "properly" and when off the field or running bases, backwards.

Let's review...

a) "All around the NFL & radio" = an ESPN radio station

b) He listens to radio on television

Okay, I'm done.

This is as close as I've ever heard to when I started doing it.

It was always funny to me how many people thought I had no idea it was on backwards.

Knowing Tony... he will just comply.

I actually bought a plain fitted white baseball cap and had a big star put on the front and a smaller star put on the back(instead of NFL logo) :D

For the record, I seriously doubt there is any validity that they want Romo to wear his hat forwards. I doubt they care at all.

Oh please. There is no proper way.

Uhhh, yes, there is... that bill thing on the front of the cap?? It's there to shade your eyes, not the back of your freakin' neck...

It amuses me that you young folk haven't been able to figure that out... :D

I wear it backwards to keep the back of my neck from getting sunburned :D

A catcher wears the cap backwards ..... even in games.

Not any more, they don't... they wear a batting helmet, with the bill cut off...

Back when they DID wear their hats that way, there was a perfectly good reason for it-- you can't wear a catcher's mask when you have a ball cap on the correct way...

Like I said, take a close look at the design of a ball cap, see if you can't figure out how it's SUPPOSED to be worn... just because the young folk think that turning the cap around backwards, or sideways, is some kind of "fashion statement" doesn't make it the RIGHT way to wear a hat...

See many outfielders wearing their hats backwards during the game?? Of course not, then the cap won't shield their eyes from the sun on fly balls...

The bill is designed to protect your eyes from the sun's glare, and it can't do that if it's turned backwards, or cocked off to one side...

More to the point, Romo's goofy looking enough with those jug ears and that Opie face without calling further attention to it by wearin' his hat wrong... LOL...

I think when Romo wears his hat to the back, it makes his ears stand out, which is not a good look for him.

On a side note, check out this pic of Romo circa 87

If I had those jug ears, I'd wear my hair long... REAL long... LOL...

Be careful, or they'll drum you out of the Redneck Society...

I do have a kinda cool story about backwards caps, though... maybe 10 years ago, my Mom, nephew and I went out with some Chinese-American friends for a prime rib dinner at a place called the Orleans House in Rosslyn (suburban DC)...

Michael had never had prime rib before, which was part of the reason we were going... despite the snooty sounding name, the Orleans House was actually a family restaurant, and we were all dressed casually... Michael had on a Tar Heels cap, backwards, and Mom was giving him gentle grief about it, telling him to turn it around the "right" way... Michael got a little defensive and upset, but he was gonna listen to his Maw-Maw... then Dr. Ho, a little bitty Chinese immigrant who was then 93 years old, got a little grin on his face, and turned HIS cap around backwards, just like Michael...

It was about the coolest thing I ever saw that very cool old man do, and we all cracked up, and everything was OK from then on...

Except Michael decided he didn't like prime rib... that kid's always been weird when it comes to his food, he doesn't even like strawberries, or apple pie, for God's sake...

Lol, I'm probably older than you (42) and I've been wearing mine backwards for at least 2 decades, although I don't always wear it that way.

He didnt like Prime Rib? That is just not acceptable. LOL
There arent more than one or two cuts of steak that are better than prime rib.
