Romo didn't have a bad game. Yes, he had one underthrown ball to Owens and the one to Crayton that he had to throw on the run across his body, which is tough for any QB. He also made some good throws. Every pass thrown by Romo won't be a completion. He will throw a bad ball every now and then guys! As accurate as Troy was, he threw alot of bad balls in his career also. I think alot of people can agree that the Cowboys will probably end up at 10-6 or 11-5 and earn a playoff spot. Well those 5-6 losses that we predict, I bet Romo will throw some bad passes in those games or maybe have a subpar game, so you still going to be all over him?Give the guy a break. He's going to be a real good, maybe great QB for the Boys. They'll be some bumps in his career, but the guy will make lots and lots of plays and win alot of games for us. You gotta remember, since Troy we had Q. Carter, Ryan Leaf, Vinny T., Bledsoe and I forget who else. Romo gives us hope and with him behind center, I feel that we can score on every possession, which is the way I felt when Troy was running the show.

:welcome: Yes, Romo looked good for the most part. There was more pressure on him this time and something strange was happening with the snaps, but other than that, he only had one really horrible pass - the underthrow to TO that was picked off, but should've went for 6 our way. That would've shut up that stupid Houston crowd.:) Really, those people need to get lives.

Agreed. I thought he showed great pocket presense without getting in a hurry. He moved around very in the pocket far better than last year.

Yes he played well, but save your energy, some people will blame the QB no matter what.

Romo made some nice plays and some bad plays. Pretty much consistent with every game since last thanksgiving.

I wouldnt excuse the number of poor decisions, fumbled snaps and under thrown balls. If Houston exposed it just imagine what a D like Chic. etc. will do.

If we are going to move forward our QB will need to be consistent.

Romo is not going to be perfect. He had a decent game. Two great games one decent one, he will bounce back.

I don't think the bronco's game was all that good for Romo. 58 QB rating if I remember correctly...

QB ratings are hard to judge by. Remove the INT in which Austin fell down and the long pass of 40 yards perfectly thrown that Hurd dropped and then see what it would be.

Being in the Denver market my entire life, i watched Elway grow from a kid who screwed up more than you would have liked for a kid of his talent, to an under controll pro. But it took several years because John had, like Tony, that "gunslinger" mentality. Tony has had 4 years of grooming, but very little PT. He's gonna continue to have growing pains, but most of us see what he can become, IN TIME.

Elway was like 22. Romo is 27. Can we win SBs during that time we have to wait? Does it matter our WRs (both), NT, LT, etc. all have a year or 2 left on the team?

Huh? Ridiculous. Excuse for not seeing the evolution of a young Elway, one of the best ever, as being remotely on par with 5th year FA Romo. Elways was 25 by the time he over came his wild play. Romo will be close to 30.

How ought my expression differ?

You are right he is not on par with Elway. He is actually one year ahead.

Elway turned 25 in his 3rd year.... meaning he started at age 23. BTW... he had 22 TD's and 23 INT in this so called "he overcame his wild play" time @ 25:rolleyes: .

Romo is his second season. Ironically BOTH Elway and Romo's first season were the same as far games go. Both started 10 (were in a total of 11).

First 10 games.

Elway 7 TD - 14 TD
Romo 19 TD - 13 TD

Point is: If Romo gets this wildness under control this year or next ... IT WILL BE BEFORE ELWAY did.

They were starters at different ages in their life so that is irrelevant. Ie. you have no point.
