Frederick had that one absolute whiff on Poe. Not sure yet who was responsible for that second sack. It looked to me like a miscommunication between him and Bernardeau (I think it was B in there at that point), but I don't know who's fault it was. Otherwise, he was pretty solid the rest of that time in his first game with an NT over him.
I was surprised we did such a good job defensing their running game, honestly. I didn't think we'd matchup well against a power running team, but we did a really nice job of it, especially along the DL.

I didn't think so. Poe controlled the LOS. Running game and 2 sacks. That's Fredbeard but I'm sure we will get a breakout of how the OL played. Be that as it may, the OL played pretty well I thought, as I said earlier. Certainly well enough to win. 12 carries for Murray, IMO, killed us.

There is a lot to like about this team. There's no denying that. The special teams is actually quite good, the defense is playing at a very high level and the offense has a talented piece at every position.

Our continued inconsistency on offense, however, remains worrisome -- and this goes back several years. Instead of putting together good drive after good drive, we find a new way to kill a promising drive seemingly every possession. Some drive killers we saw today: False start, Dunbar fumble, Romo fumble, Dez PI, Dez drop on a long would-be completion, just to name a few.

It's been that way for years. The elite offenses find ways to keep drives alive. We find ways to stop them.

Really good offenses overcome a dropped pass here and there. Really good offenses overcome a false start here and there. Here, we cannot afford ANY mistakes because we are simply NOT a good offense. One mistake and BOOM, the drive is over. This Garrett offense just is NOT working - PERIOD.

It seems to me the Cowboys have many talented players...but the HC and O coordinator are really bad. I thought Red would eventually be a great coach, but his play designs, clock management and team management are lacking.

I just watch other teams and it becomes apparent to me that the way this team is coached is the one constant during the last 6-8years, and I think it's because our GM wants to get credit for developing a coach rather than hiring an experienced coach to lead this team. Red never had a HC position before this gig.

We will win next week. Lose the following. Rinse. Repeat. Same ol Cowboys.

Welcome to the NFL.

It's the way they want it....seriously. 9 out of 10 early games including the jets Thursday game came down to 1 possession. This is what the NFL is all about these days. The reality is no one is very good and no one is very bad. This allows the casual fans to tune in to any game and think they saw something exciting because it was a nail biter.

These are the days of multitasking and systematicly forced ADD where everyone tweets in their car about what someone said on Facebook. No time in most lives for fanatic serious loyalty.

So it's best to accept the fact that over analyzing this team or any will only lead to hurt feelings, anger, nerd rage, Internet message board tough guys, and message board philosophers(who me? Haha)....

Enjoy the ride. It's not the cowboys. It's the NFL.

A close loss to the Chiefs, Eagles & Commanders both lost. We're in great shape going forward, hopefully this close loss operates as a motivator for the team going into next week. Our offensive line is the best it's been since 2007. Waters looked good for his first game in 20 months, I expect he'll play lights out next week.

We've got a good team together with competent coaching and we're in an atrocious division.

You, sir are the eternal optimist. This team is uninspired, under coached and under utilized. Mediocrity. 8 and 8 again or maybe 7 and 9. Jerruh is laughing all the way to the bank and mini me, Stephen is taking up the snake oild salesmanship. We got the "Secret Sauce" all right, it is called separating Cowboys fans from their money while producing a really poor product.

Our offense has 3 starters on the line that werent playing for us last year and played great. They gave Romo plenty of time. Our offense is still transitioning into a new play calling system so I know it'll tighten up as the weeks come along.

Defense is running a new scheme altogether and it shows with players looking lost on coverage. As they settle in more we will be that much better on defense.

I'm upset with the loss, but I know this team will be more cohesive as we settle into our new changes on both sides of the ball.

He an Leary had two whiffs on Poe. So they'd better get it together. And one of those hits may have dinged Romo up more.

I see an 8-8 non playoff team.....................the same team I have seen the past 2 seasons.

Um, the entire defense? An OLine that is playing much better? A franchise QB? A very solid #2 WR? A hall of game TE? Seriously, get a grip people, we are fine.

???

Panic is the only way I see out of this situation. Panic attacks have a great success rate.

I'm just wondering this- is it Garrett's fault, Callahan's fault, Romo's fault, or Jerry Jones' fault....OR....

Is it possible this team just isn't as talented as everybody thinks they are; and we're heaping expectations on them they simply cannot match? I hope not, but after all this mediocrity, I think it's fair to ask.

I would say there is something seriously wrong with the play calling. However, there are so many fingers in the pie it is impossible to know who is responsible.
