All I read today is negative threads followed by negative replies.

Parcells F***ed us over, we don't want that coach he is too young, or too old, or unexperienced, or no pro experience, want one with commitment ....blah blah blah.

:cry2::cry::cry3:

Truth be told, BP did take his sweet time to tell the Cowboys he is not coming back, but I am sure he told them as soon as he was sure he can't come back. There are two options, sit and whine or look for a coach, the fans on this site took over the first task and Jones took over the latter.

I on the other hand, like many that just read those threads and shake their heads, I am very excited about next year. I can't wait to see who is going to be the next head coach. Change is good and healthy, next year will be exciting, and notice no where I am saying a Super Bowl year. We will find out about a lot of players and coaches. I am sick and tired of immediate fixes that are not helping in the long run, for instance TO whose best part of his career is behind him.

To be honest, this year I had mixed emotions every game. As much as I would enjoy watching the game, I always felt like something wasn't right. It always felt like BP didn't have full control of the team.

Also, who can say that they have not read 100s or 1000s of threads of what a horrible job the Zim man was doing. Now for all of those fans, we will get a new defensive coordinator and we shall see.

So, to all the whinos I say

Quit your yapping and crying over nothing, instead sit back and relax, because this is going to be one crazy and exciting year ahead of us.

Well, I've done my share of whining, but for the first time in 3 years I'm going to start wearing my Cowboys jackets and sweatshirts. I too am excited to see what the new guy can do...

As a fan, one of the biggest problems I had with Parcells was the constant references to his ex players.

I always felt like he was the Giants coach, coaching the Cowboys.

There was never a reference to ex Cowboy players. Instead, LT, Meggett, Bavaro, etc.

It just felt as if the team had been hijacked.

It's like watching Owens. No matter how hard I try, I still see a guy who is NOT a Cowboy.

And Parcells was so strong, his persona so big, that he shadowed the entire team.

Can we do worse with the next coach? You betcha.

But I'm happy this team has a chance to change.

Can I have some cheese with my "whine"? Oh wait; I forgot! Parcells tuaght me to not eat the cheese.

Ahhh, but all kidding aside, I'm very excited about the prospect of playing better defense (perhaps even a return to the 4-3); and I love the fact that we will not be playing that 2-TE offense any more. Gone are the days of "collecting" LBs and TEs for the "fun" of it. YIPEE!!!

The newness is exciting, and at least we've got something to speculate on other than just FAs and draft picks for the next few weeks. It could go either way, but new beginnings are always exciting.
