Regarding the contract that Parcells has 30 days to sign if he stays with the dolphins. That parcells went on to say, if the right owner would call me, i would be there in a flash, something liike that.

What do you cowboy fans, think about parcells being here as vice president general manager? I seriously doubt it would happen, but has anyone heard or saw where parcells said something like that?

Last I heard Parcells is staying in Miami. Per NFL Radio as of yesterday.
Why would he come to this mess?

Anyways, back to thread topic. What the hell has Parcells' done in the last 15 years that makes him special? Because he turns a team from nothing to competitive just like Don Nelson in the NBA? He can turn teams around but not get them to win Super Bowls, you know the ultimate goal.

Everyone gushed about Sean Peyton in New Orleans a couple of years ago, and now the new darlings, Miami, but neither of those teams won jack. Miami is now competitive, but until they win a stinking super bowl, they are the Dallas Cowboys, or the Utah Jazz. Always competitive, never champions.

I get the point of your post...but how does one or two good years (in Miami's case one), make them ALWAYS competitive. The Jazz are season after season, a solid team. We didn't start winning until a few seasons ago. But the Dolphins had a good year this past year. Let's not mix that up.

I second that,When Pacells was our coach I remember thread after thread of people saying the game has passed him by and glad he is gone. People who hate Wade remember Parcells stayed on as consultant and helped hire Wade on. How soon people forget

So Owens is the main reason why the Cowboys are in a funk according to you? Disregard the OL,OC and Qb making rash decisions. To me it is a combination of all of the above. I wasn't happy with the Wade hire but accepted it like a good little fan... I'm still not happy.

I was for it at the time because of wonders he did with the defense in SD. Still give him one more year see what he can do. I remember people giving up on Warner and he is in the superbowl. So I will give him one more year to prove me wrong. If he can't get it done then time to move on.
