On NFLN they were showing short little interviews from various players. The reporter asked DeMarco Murray about Team Irvin having more intense practices than the other team. Murray said its because of Coach Garrett and that he's a perfectionist.

Very intense if that's work the HC calls for, I definitely see that coming from JG. It may be the Pro Bowl but I bet his practices are crisp and focused, it's his way of doing things.

I believe the entire exercise is to send a message to all players that we mean business. Any residual benefits such as impressing free agents or future free agents is icing on the cake.

Never know what's gonna happen in a Pro Bowl. Just hope to enjoy the game.

This is simply another indication of how JG takes his work seriously, regardless of how totally lax the Pro Bowl has been in the past. I think it's advantageous for other good veteran players to see, first hand, how he handles his players and the extent of his thoroughness with attention to detail. Perhaps some of them may possibly be inclined to look in the direction of the Cowboys if and when considering a possible move to another team. It could help.
