Not that!

Though perhaps anacondan -- ahem

If Blank can't even say he wants Vick, I think this is very telling

Perhaps he is trying to put the fear of god in him and let him twist in the wind

Or maybe Blank just wants to trash the next season with a no-name QB and then get a No 1 draft pick next year

But I think he's decided to forget Vick and not be seen as the man who protected and continued to hire Vick, an assumed torturer of dogs

(The question marks in the report below are not mine
I do not know how they just appeared
Perhaps a java coding thing, dunno)

Falcons owner won't commit to Vick
Posted: Wednesday July 25, 2007 06:43AM ET

Falcons owner Arthur Blank declined, multiple times, to say if he wants Michael Vick to play for his team this season ??? or if he wants him to ever wear a Falcons uniform again. This much is clear: The Falcons are set to move on without Vick, following his federal indictment last week on felony dogfighting charges. Blank said multiple times that the charges levied against Vick ??? losing or timid dogs were allegedly tortured, shot, hanged, drowned and electrocuted ??? were repulsive. He tended to follow his rebuke with claims of Vick's presumed innocence, but his angst was on full display.

As soon as this happened, Petrino thought to himself, "Hell, I can get Brohm here next year."

Today's a big day for Vick. He gets to appear in federal court twice, one for bail bond hearing and the other to plead. Wonder if today the judge will set the trial date & if Vick's attorney will try to put it off until either much later in the football season or after the season. If he does, doubt this hard nosed judge will bit. The media will go wild today trying to get lots of pictures of Vick, particularly a video with him standing in federal court in fron the the judge.

I think Joey Harrington is bad luck for Starting QBs. Its all his fault.. went to Miami to back up Culpepper.. look what happened.. Went to Atl to back up Vick.. Vick is out.. Don't bring that guy here!!!

I don't think that there is team in the league that has an interest in tanking to get a #1 pick. Losing begets losing and fans don't buy season tickets to see rebuilding.

I don't think the Falcons will have a choice dude.

Vick, as much flak as he gets, was that team. Sure, they had some good runners, but Vick was the engine that made it go. Now, they've got an entire playbook based on a mobile quarterback and bam, they got Joey Harrington.

Or maybe the league office and Blank have a little more of an ideal of Vicks involvement in all of this. In the meantime I'm sure Blank does not want a 3 ring circus interfering with the Falcons training camp or at least no more than need be.

None will admit it, but I am sure it happens. Sort of like taking an intentional penalty to get a better angle on a FG . . . no, a bad example.
Sort of like torching your warehouse to get a . . . no bad example
well, I am sure it happens. i just cant prove it.:)

And now Warrick Dunn is out for at least a few weeks after back surgery, per nfl.com.

If he is smart, he will push for a speedy trial.
Anything going into 2008 could cost him another season.

It's interesting that the defense waved speedy (Rocket Docket) trial.
