The announcers for the Cardinals game just said that a win today would be a "benchmark win for the franchise." They will be 8-8 if they win today.
You ask (and rightly so) how is that a "benchmark win?" No player on the Cardinals roster has ever played for the Cardinals when they have had as good a record as 8-8.
Sad, but true.
