This is so comical

Note I am not defending the play call by any stretch.

But the way the play unfolds, the Texans clearly had a good idea what was coming and had all the "options" defended. For that play to have succeeded, someone on the Cowboys would likely have to make an exceptional play against a Texans defender. The Texans had all three options defended.

I don't take it that way and honestly, we are not that far apart here. I think Texas played us for Zeke in short yardage and the formation and the actual execution played right into there hands. I would not have put Beasley in the backfield. I would have motioned him to make safety commit and make the LBs adjust. Even with all that, we still could have picked up the first, IMO, if we had just ran the play to Beasley or if Dak had kept. Lots of space there, everybody bit on Zeke. What's done is done but that, to me, is where the game was lost. Dak is one on one with the LB who, IMO, is not in good position to make a move if Dak runs a little wide to the edge or not at all if he goes to the otherside of the field. I'll take Beasley in space all day against anybody, especially if he's already on the move. JMO
