I am not worthy...really...okay, I'll put the beer down for just a second.
Wait, really...I find you...well attractive...in a kind of gay way...but don't tell anyone...just between you and me...I'll never tell anyone you touched me there...okay?

BigEasyCowboy;2543036 said:There's a difference. Tim Tebow has backed up his words, played at a Heisman level, and is in the National Championship. There have been no stories about Tim Tebow that have don't have something to do with football. Since the time of that video you showed of Romo, there have been plenty of non-football stories about him. Romo has had two Decembers to back up his words, and he played mediocre in both of them. The next time Romo was in the postseason, he took a vacation to Mexico with his celebrity girlfriend. I can guarantee that you will not see Tim Tebow in Mexico before he plays the Sooners. I can also guarantee that you will never hear Tebow talk about the national championship game and say "if we win, ok... if we don't, ok..."
You cannot even compare the two at this point
Bottom line is, Romo has a loser's mentality. It's one thing when you play like a loser on the field and are willing to man up in post game pressers and choose to grow from your garbage play on the field. But when your mind set is "If we win...ok. If we dont...ok." then you my friend are a loser and a punk.Idgit;2543058 said:So, we're back agreeing that it's not the words at a press conference but rather the play on the field that actually matters? I'll take that.
We've got all offseason to debate what's wrong with the play on the field.
Forgive me if I decline to rehash the stupidity of blaming Romo for being wherever he was with whoever he was with on his two consecutive days off last year. That tired argument was stupid when it was fresh.

He's not a "huge winner". He's a stat king from September to November, but a choke artist and a arrogant coward in December and January. It's not even debatable anymore. I felt sorry for him last year and thought the criticism was over the top for a guy who's still growing, but ever since the Pitt game, I've seen a kid(not a man) who's part arrogorant celebrity QB and part coward all rolled into one. He is what he is until proven otherwise and Im not sure he ever will take that next step.Idgit;2543098 said:Except that he's a huge winner, not a punk, and one of the very best players in the NFL. But we'll just draw our consensus based off of something we read into something he said in a press conference.

I'm just super frustrated with all the over the top over reaction. It is only a game. I know a lot of people take it way too seriously, but they act if they lost a game just to hurt your (or any others fans) feelings.
But if people here think cutting Romo and drafting a rookie (while giving up years worth of draft picks) on a gamble is the way to go...then more power to you.
No one here (I think) plays for the Cowboys and all the speculation is just meaningless.
I really mean no harm at all, just venting at all the rhetoric. But I'm not putting down the beer. Just going away for the night.
Way too nutty for me...right now anyway.

Who's uninformed? He basically informed everyone of his feelings on being a quarterback in the NFL be known after the Philly loss. He is who he is and it's not a "huge winner". Can he change? Sure. But I dont see any positive signs of it coming any time soon.Idgit;2543151 said:He is what you say he is, until he's not, and then you reserve the right to change your mind entirely? Are you going to need actual reasons at that point, or will your uninformed opinion be enough then, too?
It's very important we get the ground rules down in advance so that it's much simpler when you want to backtrack and overreact hyperbolically in that direction.
