An old fashioned December showdown for first place in the NFC East. Who doesn't love it?

H U G E ! We win and we can even lose a game and still win division because of tie-breaker.

We have 5 games left. I think 10-6 gets us into the playoffs and 11-5 wins the division.

But let's start with the Giants. No let downs, go for the throat! They're a good team and will be playing at home. We shut them down for 57 minutes last time. Let's close the door this time.

As much teeth gnashing and hand wringing as there's been the last few days, a victory next week will go a long way to making things right. Granted, we would've been sitting prettier at 8-3 going into this game, but as lurker says, this type of scenario next Sunday is what it's all about. That goes double for the NFC East. You can't ask for more than controlling your own desting with regards to winning the division.

If the Cowboys win it would be the equivalent of going up 2 games over the Giants. Since they would have beaten the Giants twice this year, the Cowboys would get the tie breaker in case of a tie at the end of the season.

If the Cowboys lose, they go 1 game under.... a theoretical 3 game swing.

It has been to long since we played an important game in December. Unless you were one of those rooting for Dallas to lose because you wanted a better drafting position.

So doesn't that make it a bigger game for the Giants???????

I agree, but because of this, I would think it is a bigger game for the Giants????
No doubt, not even considering it's a division home game for them. They're supposed to win this game.

This is big! Tuna leads his team back to his old haunts in the Meadowlands against his old protege, Tom Coughlin.

Only unlike last year's battles between two 6-10 teams, the Cowboys and Giants are tied for the NFC East lead with just five games left.

Lots of subplots..like the Jints pass rush vs our oline, the struggling kickers, another return of Sean Payton to the place he was once canned, Bill ticked the Jints swept us last year, Shockey vs Witten, Buress, a player who Bill passed on in the 2000 draft and subsequently had something to say about it, Ware, the player Tuna likened to LT making his Meadowlands debut, MacKenzie, the FA RT we passed on, maybe even the Barrow signing.

Should be plenty of mileage gotten out of this one.

yes, it is a bigger game for the Giants, but it is also a huge game for the Cowboys. I want to see the Cowboys in Texas Stadium come postseason

Burress is playing like a beast.

I think we can get in Eli's head if we can pressure him. He looked frantic last game to my eyes - hurried.

Bledsoe's Nor east playing experience will be huge down stretch.

Sure helped against Pittsburg's second teamers last year.

Oh, you mean the game that snapped Drew's 6 game winning streak, his only loss in an 8 game span dating to 2005? Amidst his current 13-5 streak?

Classic, don't know if the pun was intended. I do agree with this to a point though, he's had plenty of experience in this kind of weather throughout his career.

Same Buffalo defense that gave up what 28 points that day?

Winter playing experience is big -
