It's most likely that Colombo is asking for too much money when he is a mediocre player with one good season under his belt. Therefore, I think it's best if we don't sign Colombo, and look for our starting RT in the draft for the next 10 years. What about RG? That's for free agency. I'de be happy with either Derrick Dockery, Eric Steinbach or Kris Dielman.
As far as backup QB is concerned, I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for this, but I think it makes sense. Vinny Testaverde should become a Cowboy again. First of all, Romo has learned so much from Vinny in the past, and would be a great mentor to Tony. Plus Vinny knows the system and can come in quickly and be a bus driver if needed. Vinny or Brad Johnson are the most logical choices.
Free Agency:
FS Deon Grant
QB Vinny Testaverde
OG Steinach/Dockery/Dielman
Draft (1st day):
1st round: Justin Blaylock (starting RT)
2nd round: Brian Leonard (Hoyte isn't versatile like Leonard and would bring a new dimension for our offense)
3rd round: BPA (either WR, DT, or CB)
I think this would be considered a successful offseason, what you guys think? (Don't knock me too hard on Vinny lol)
