This is the weakest the playoffs have been since 2010

If there was ever a time for this coaching staff and our core group of players to get to a Super Bowl, this is it. Brady is on his out and Bowles is one of the worst coaches in the league, we should beat the Bucs by double digits. The toughest competition after this are the Eagles - I don't want to crap out Purdy because he has played well for the 49rs, but he's also a rookie and we should have no business losing to one. Eagles and whoever we face in the Super Bowl, if we get there, will be our toughest competition.

If we don't win it this year, I have no confidence we are able to do it going forward. Conferences don't stay weak for long, look how quickly the AFC loaded up again after legends retired. Same will happen in the NFC.
I hate to add gasoline to your fire, but you forgot that the eagles also have a top-ten pick in the draft this year, so in total, they pick twice in round one. Pretty sure our Front office is still trying to figure out how to resign Zeke if I had to guess.

I am not so sure this is the correct take. I think the Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, Bengals, Bills, and, yes, even the Cowboys when they play their A game are all strong teams. With 7 playoff teams from each conference of course there will be a couple who look weaker. But I think it would be unwise to take any team lightly.

Totally agree, this is the best situation as for getting to the SB we've had in a long time...if we choke again this year, then we are truly screwed..

DONT CHOKE COWBOYS... PLEASE!!!!!
They will probably have to play and win 3 ROAD GAMES just to get to the Super Bowl. How is that choking? Which NFL team right now is capable of that? Probably none. We need to redefine the word choke. It doesn't apply this year.

Eagles first pick will be #14. But I agree their front office is light years better than ours. It really sucks.

For the NFC? Yes. It's comically mediocre

The AFC is strong though.

The thing is, you never know in a one-game scenario.
One unusual game plan and a few bad plays (or really lucky plays) and the NFC could get the upset in the Super Bowl. Think Giants beating 19-0 Pats in 2007 or that Jets upset way back when.

Would not bet against the AFC, but you never know for sure in one game

This team is definitely over achieved. The defense is not that great mini holes just like the Offensive side . Youth. Helped us out.
Given how weak the NFC is, I'm not sure they've overachieved.
Granted, if they played the Bengals late in the season vs early it might be different, but other than that.......
What huge upsets have they gotten?

I am of the belief you cannot run this back if we do not at least get to the NFC title game. We actually had no business letting the Eagles...with Jalen Hurts only in his 2nd year as a full time starter....becoming the best team in the NFC. This happens because there front office is superior to ours.

Changes are a must if we don't get to the NFC title game.
Unfortunately the changes required are in the upper management ranks. Our only hope for that is a yachting accident. Just think of it like this.......Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch vs Nick Sirianni and Howie Roseman vs Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones. WE ARE SCREWED

LOL he's looking pretty good to me too. As good or better than Garoppolo. Everyone is expecting him to choke, and he's not done so in 6 straight games.

But will this 23 year old, last pick in the 7th round be able to handle the pressure of a championship game? Or the playoffs in general. It's been quickly thrust upon him.
It has never happened for a rookie in all of NFL history.

I'd be happy for Purdy if he is able to pull it off (Obviously not if he beats us), but I will never have a rookie favored in the playoffs. It's a completely different atmosphere - just read up on what Dak and Zeke said after 2016, that first half was them being crushed under the pressure. It's the main reason I wanted Tony starting and it had little to do with my dislike for Prescott as a player.

The NFC does look weak this season, and the AFC should win the SB.
As for dallas this is a chance for them, but missing out on # 1 seed hurts their chances.

First lets see if they make it past WC round.

If Tua and Lamar was playing it could have been of the best. To bad Detroit didn’t make it over Seattle.

Tua is trash. Guy put together string of good games this year, because of a good offensive mind in a new offense nobody figured out that early, but resorted to his awful play before he even got injured and people thing dude is good.

The scary thing is the new Head Coaches in the NFC east are the real deal other than in Washington.

Four 12+ wins (3 with 13+) in the NFC. Three with 12+ wins in the AFC.

But THIS is the year the playoffs are weak?

Funny how the team stacked at DLine is the one who traded up for another.

You're right, they're not. But they have a ton of confidence. They go into games expecting to win. It's infuriating.
They have lost 2 out of their last 3 games doesn't scream confidence to me. They have been on the steady decline since the injuries hit.

I understand that theory. It’s very possible it could be that the competition isn’t great , either, is that what the NFL is now the quality of play is a spread out to the league and no one has a great team. You just need great coaching and you just have to play great today.

The NFL today is very hard to explain. I think the talent is spread out to many different teams. But that’s what the NFL wanted.
