We now know this streak of zero NFC championship games has reached 30 plus years, the longest in the NFC. And you hear the nonsense Jerry spews after the game such as Jerry Jones said they built the Cowboys to make the playoffs. It’s a disappointment if they don’t make it and he agreed they underachieved if they don’t. This is why this franchise is and will always be stuck. If the person responsible for assembling the disappointing season can NEVER BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. It just doesn’t work in sports. There needs to be an owner and a separate GM responsible for the talent assembled. As usual the failure is all on Jerry. He put the team in scramble mode by trading Micah so close to the season. This is Jerry’s fault for hiring Eberflus. This is Jerry’s fault for investing so little in the defense. This is Jerry’s fault for the poor drafts. This is Jerry’s fault for hiring the wrong coaches.

That's why the arguing about players and coaches don't make a difference with me when the same guy who has been through the failures is still here. I'm not blaming Dak for 30 years of suck. Jerry Jones is to blame because he predates all of the coaches and players.

I mean Jerry can claim that he built the Cowboys to make the postseason but the only proof that matters is the inability to make it into the postseason. That essentially is the metric which would show if you really built a team that was capable of making it into the postseason.

Holding onto those points will just result in a neurological disorder...... focus on aspects that can change, rather than fixate on aspects which are set in stone.

Yep. The guy has never axed himself for one second in decades. It’s dumbfounding.

He’s the owner. He holds absolute power. He could have hired someone at any time and fired them the next day. He cannot allow himself to even do something as shallow as that .

True story. Had routine bloodwork done at my doctor’s office last week. I wore my ‘Fire Jerry’ cap.

The phlebotomist who drew my blood noticed my cap and asked, “Who’s Jerry?”

I answered he’s the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who self-made himself the team’s general manager 30 years ago, and has refused to allow anyone else to run his football team.

Without looking away from what she was doing, she smirked and said, “He’s a narcissist.” I asked if she followed any teams. She said, “No. That is what he sounds like.”

I just shook my head and said nothing else. Even people, who have no clue who he is, KNOWS who he is.

You guys make these same posts over and over again. You get sucked in and get sucked out. You will be right there tuning in to the draft. We all blame Jerry but don’t blame ourselves for supporting this crap year in and out.
Fans should NEVER BE HELD responsible for a teams performance. How fans feel or act has absolutely nothing to do with Jerry the owner. If you say well fans should stop showing up to games, guess what will happen which already has for years, road teams fans will sell out the stadium. This is not about how fans feel or react, we are fans for a reason. I’m lucky enough to be a fan since the early 80’s so saw the glory years of the 90’s. I feel awful for those fans that became fans after that. But it’s still not their faults

The GM isn’t the only one that operates with zero accountability.
But he is the one that matters the most as he is the root cause of all other issues that stem up. Name one other person in this organization who has been a constant for the past 30 years.

Agreed! Jerry Jones is 100% at fault for the state of the Cowboys. He needs to hire a real GM like they did in Philly. You can hate the Eagles but you gotta respect what they did there. They have a solid foundation of players and personnel..

This is demonstrably not true. We've seen teams leave for other cities because they lost the support of the fan base. Fans have a lot of power IF they act collectively. When they stay atomized, they have little to no power. The Dallas fan base, because of it's size, global brand, and the past history of the team has a fairly unique blend of loyalty, passion, and mass support that also has its own self-replicting inertia where large amounts of new fans are created yearly despite systemic failures on the field. We are the perfect fan base for a grifting narcissist like Jerry to exploit.

It for sure does. We enable his behaviors purchase tickets and buy into his product that involves him being GM. I hate Philly fanbase but you think Jerry would’ve lasted as long there? Hell no,

There are actually real people here that thought Shotttenheimer was going to usher in a new culture. Shottenheimer. A guy that never won a darn thing. Never would sniff a head coaching job
elsewhere. That guy. Fans keep getting sucked.

Get ready for the Gremlin's marketing machine to spin gold this offseason.

Franchise is doomed.

This is Jerry’s fault for being the only owner in the NFL that allows himself to be the GM. The winning owners of the last 30 SBs all hired someone else to be the GM. Our 83 year old GM was 53 the last time we won a divisional playoff game.

Until that changes whatever this team does will be a fresh coat of paint on the Titanic.
