Actually, there are other reasons like age, loyalty, and old habits, but there's stuff like this. In their rookie years, Dak and Zeke went into Heinz Field and beat the Steelers. I hate the Steelers, but they've been good for years - they ended that season in the AFC championship game against the Patriots. Dallas went in there and beat them. Was it a mirage? Did Dak and Zeke not make plays to win that game?

I refuse to believe those boys can't play. I just hope we can avoid offseason drama in 2018 and start next season with no suspension BS over their heads. They're veterans now, and if they have any competitive spirit in them at all they'll be motivated by 9-7 and the doubters.

And all the other factors besides suspensions.

I have always believed that in the NFL if your really good you have to have coaches that game plan to keep the team really good. So many teams are scheming against you to minimize your strengths by watching tape, etc. We don't have the coaches to keep us "ahead" of the competition. We have some really good players but that only takes you so far. A great coach will take the team all the way.........

Cowboys Congregation says DAMN RIGHT.....and Amen.

before the suspension,we were 5-3.
Dak's QBR was high...his numbers were on pace to be even better than his rookie season.
The offense was avg.,30pts a game.
NO ONE WANTED DAK GONE...NO ONE.

the suspension,Tyrone Smith in and out of the line-up,the pummeling Dak took vs atlanta.....all those things took a toll....and yet....we were still alive for the play-offs.
Dak and this young team fought to 3-3....finished 9-7,5-1 in the division,4-1 in december.
That also gives me hope going forward....no quit....tough....gutty.
These are guys you can win with.
Dak....work hard......Zeke...stay home at night.
2018.
IGNITE.

That was one of my favorite wins of the last decade. Epic win.

Thank you for posting this. I watched the highlights from that game and any of us that doubt Dak's accuracy and his lack of connection with Dez shouldn't be worried. Granted, these were simply a few select plays, but Dak hit Dez on back shoulder throws, in stride on out routes, in stride on go routes and, in stride on slants. I'm now convinced this year was an aberration for any number of reasons. Kind of like my golf game - one day I'm standing on the tee box and the fairway could be 20 yards wide and I hit it. The next time I'm on a tee box with a fairway 60 yards wide and I pull a Tin Cup and hit balls into oblivion and not hit the fairway.

Get Dak a real receiver and watch him thrive. Who could thrive throwing to a guy who is almost always covered???????????????????????

You don't get humiliated by the packers, falcons, chargers, and eagles if you are tough, gutty, and no quit.

But Dez was open in that game. My point was that my perception was clouded by what I had seen this year. But watching the highlights of that game from a year ago made me realize maybe my perception was flawed. Maybe not. We’ll see next year, but I’m at least convinced that it can be because it was.
