McCarthy is done after this season and another 1st round playoff loss. He actually would have been safer if Dak missed the entire season and this was a repeat of 2020 because he could use that as an excuse.

I’m done with McCarthy because of the penalties. He doesn’t call plays on either side of the ball so he should have the teams in game management totally on point.

We’re terrible at that and he can’t fix the penalties. Not a good look for him.

I've been in 100% agreement with this. .. now in anyone's opinion what would it cost us to get Payton

I might disagree some with you on this point. I believe what Payton wants he would get because that would be an agreement before he was even hired. He has more pull with the Jones boys than McCarthy. The thing is and this is what you have to ask yourself if you hire Payton are you ok with losing Quinn.

There is no man in the world that can aid this team. Get any coach you want but this team is doomed regardless. Year in and year out it’s the same joke of a story.

Payton at least costs you a 2nd rnder, if not a 2nd and 3rd. But I'm okay with that, because previous 2nd rnd picks haven't netted us much. I do believe Payton at the very least eliminates clock management and play call gaffes. I still like Quinn, would like to see him retained, but he'll have to do MUCH better against the run then what's been seen this yr to be the long term solution. Outside of getting to the QB, pretty pedestrian on that side of the ball the past 3 games. Granted, salty after a loss that shouldn't of happened, but I've felt this way about McCarthy since last seasons early exit

He so t help the defense but he’ll get dak 6 or 7 completions a game just from scheme.
