I was sick to my stomach last night, woke this morning and was still sick, i even wanted to call off work, and i actually left work early because i couldn't think str8(not just because of the game though)

But then i come here, and read what our players are saying, and think how early in the season we are in, this is a perfect loss for us why?

The way we played last night was horrible, but if we would have won, maybe our players would be satisfied with that, and only would make little improvements...every player on the team, in my eyes feel like they let the team down, and because of their play we lost

i think we will see a much more hard working team, i think the corners will step up there game, especially newman, as evidence every time he has a bad game he comes the next week, and turns it around, well he has a chance to do so with steve smith, i think orlando will improve, i think Romo saw flashes he didnt want to relive again, and will take better care of the ball...and even though i hate the fact we play monday night, i think showing the the national audience who we really are will be even better

I'm glad we got a loss like this out of the way, lets hope for the best!:starspin

it's better to lose like this in September than December, is your general thrust, then?

I think that's how we spun it after Santana Moss kicked us in the nuts a few years back.

They could have learned all of the same lessons from a win. You don't have to lose a game to come away with some knowledge of what you need to improve.

If there's any net gain to this, they'll probably come out and a try to play a "show them" game against Carolina. They won't maintain that intensity though.

i think its better in the sense that, they see what is going on, and its not the fact that we lost, its the fact we played poorly, and every player feels its there fault and hopefully does not want this feeling again

Over estimating the pride this team has in itself. I don't know how you could do that after the last 3 or 4 years.

I wouldn't spin this loss as a win in any way.

There were some positives. And by some, I mean two - we ran the ball well and stopped the run.

Other than that, nothing good came from this game.

That said, it will be interesting to see how the team plays on Monday against Carolina. The Panthers look pretty bad, so I would expect one of two things to happen:

1. We throttle them, which would mean the team is making a statement, in my eyes anyway.

2. The team comes out sloppy, which means we're destined for an 8-8 season.

I agree and thank you for posting this.

After week-1, all we heard was how we had to stop the run and get our running game going. Well we did that in week-2.

Our passing game was working pretty darn well in week-1 but now it needs some work too. No problem, we can fix that as well.

The thing I am seeing in this team as opposed to previous seasons is the ability to adjust and make corrections. The team is rallying and no one is throwing anyone else under the bus for a change.

Romo took the blame for this loss and he should, he had a poor game and it needs to improve next week. Not that he was totally to blame for the loss but that's what a leader does. Isn't that what everyone wanted to see from him?

In week-1 he was the highest rated QB, this week he dropped near the bottom, but he will pick it back up.

I am very excited by what I am seeing. yes I wish we would have won the game but the outcome may make the loss well worth it in the end.

Nicely put. Good teams bounce back. Let's see how our guys fair next weekend.

Three.... the Oline played well vs a Strong DLine.

But Sacks 0 for 2009, including pre-season for the #1 Sack unit in the NFL for 2008....I don't get it, Greg Ellis is not that good ... on the other hand he has more Sacks than our entire Defense.

Go back and re-watch the 2008 season. You'll be singing a different tune. Is what you said feasible, sure. Does this teams history show that is it likely to happen, NO. They will play great the next couple of games and then we will be back in this boat again.

This is a feel good thread...

In reality the Cowboys have not learned anything. Romo is still making stupid mistakes and the Defense still looks soft. They should of learned here with parcells, they should of learned december of 07 they should of learned and fixed things last year after the Eagles used their faces to mop the floor.

there is nothing to learn after this..We have carolna, KC and Den after this. 3 easy games that we should not lose even if Romo plays bad.

Hopefully romo and garrett get it together and start driving the bus a litte better.

I really don't believe in moral victories from defeat.

However, there is no doubt that this fanbase is stuck in over reaction mode and acting like a bunch of petulant brats.

Last season, we weren't a team

after a game like this, TO would be Roy in this situation, only one catch, he would throw somebody under the Bus, and get mad, then we would try n force the ball to him next week, and that right there is a huge problem in itself

Then we had guys like Tank, and Greg, making there remarks, then the media would be talking about how TO had a blow up with Garret, then we would try and prove a point the next week

Roy Williams pointing fingers, Davis looking lost at safety, Henry getting abused, throwing his hands up...i mean come on

Great teams are known for playing disciplined football. They also are known for being steady week in week out in their play. This team hasn't been a steady performer since the 90's,they haven't play disciplined football since that time either. You can say that this team went 13-3 a few years ago, that seems to be an abberation at this time.Even when Parcells was here this team was not steady,it was up and down. They look good for a couple of weeks and then they implode for a few weeks.Always the same stupid mistakes at the wrong time, seems like a pattern to me.And i'm of the belief that you can't fix stupid.Maybe this is the product of parity or something of that nature. However it seems to me that until we have an identity this team will struggle.Being able to line up and move the ball at will deflates a defense.A defense that dictates the play of the offense is also deflating to the opposition. We don't have that identity, and until we find one we are just another team .I'm glad that there are people who are somewhat optimistic about this season and this team.I'm just not one of them at this time, now if they can play disciplined football for five or six games straight I may change my mind.

I wish we had a time out corner or better yet a paddle to snuff out some of this childish behavior. Some of the posters here really need to grow a pair or stop watching football.

In there eyes, everyone needs to be perfect, if you arent the cowboys, you allowed to catch the ball, or stop our offense

if only the world went in their favor, people act like the other team isnt getting paid as well
