This loss isn't on the defense.

With the defense we have, with probably less than half that are starters in this league, getting four turnovers, a redzone stop and stopping the Lions when it was 27-24.

Yes, they gave up a ton a yards but no one is stopping Megatron and the game would have been iced away if the offense wasn't half asleep most of the game.

This defense won't win a super bowl, probably not even a playoff game but the offense needs to help out and simply doesn't do enough.

Hell, still would have won if not for the holding penalty late in the game.

Not all their fault, but mostly.

24 points in the 4th. Yeah, that's a huge reason for the loss.

You can say it's on Kiffen or Kiffen & the players... but the D was useless in the 4th. 24 4Q points is horrible. 80 yard drive with less than a minute to go is horrible. And how trying to double/triple Johnson instead of playing him like he's Sam Hurd all game...what the heck was that?

it's at least half their fault. when you have a WR go for 3 Bills, you should adjust something. And when a team goes 80 yards for a TD with no timeouts- well I guess it just isn't their day is it?

Goat A1) Jason
Goat A2) Cowboys D

When you can't score off turnovers, or run the ball that is not gonna help your defense able to make stop after stop. The Cowboys D put the offense in great position to win the game and the offense failed.

Yes, a good defense likely stops the Lions with a min left and no timeouts but it should have never gotten to that point.

I understand, but even in spite of 4 turnovers forced - which the defense deserves a lot of credit for - there's no excuse for giving up 600+ yards in a game.

Through 3.5 quarters, I agree. That ending made this a total team loss though.

I don't blame the defense also. They were the reason why we were in this game in the first place and was actually winning. The offense has to do their part. We have to capitalize on those turnovers and put the game away. If we did that, we would have won easily.

Blame this on the offense and the coaches, mainly Garrett. For some reason Garrett knows how to fold during crunch time. He didn't disappoint in this game.

The offense put up 30 points. We lost. That seems to show a defensive problem. Basically the defense was successful through the first three quarters because they were getting turn overs which was covering up their getting burned. When the turn overs stopped they just got burned.

This defense is playing guys off the street and being held together with duct tape and bubble gum, you can only expect them to hold for so long. The offense should have put this game long out of reach after 4 turnovers.

This offense gave them 10pt leads twice. In the 4th. You just can't give up 24 in the final quarter without being aided by a turnover or a special teams play. You do realize they gave up almost 300 yds int the 4th alone and over 600 for the game.

I do agree the turnovers were nice so I can't blame them completely. We basically flip flopped. Defense was doing all it could to keep us in the game and offense failing. Then the defense fell apart when the offense gave us leads.

That's the main issue with this team. We can never get both units in sync. Only game I can really remember was the Rams game.

Your not counting the times that those turnovers gave the offense excellent field position.

Face it. Our offense was terrible. If you think that our offense got to 30 without the help of our defense and special teams then you need to re-watch the game again.

Here's my issue. When the Cowboys needed a stop at 27-24, They got it. The defense came up with a sack which they hadn't all day, and made plays. They should have never been on the field again.

I realize we have a **** defense but if the Offense played a sixty minute game or at least didn't take a dumb penatly at the end, we walk away 5-3

60-70% of the blame for this loss rests on the coaching staff and the D.

anyone who cannot grasp that reality needs to retake football 101 and learn that giving up 600+ yards, 329 to one WR and 31 points means the D did not play well enough to win a game.
