This may be the most interesting first round I can remember

With no fewer then 55 players expected to go before pick 28.

Charles Harris gets mocked to us with Barnett long gone

Barnett mocked to us with Watt long gone

Watt mocked to us because we missed out on every CB in the draft

Adoree mocked to us for the same reason with DE's

We are slotted to select in the middle of a very deep tier. For that reason its going to be one entertaining and tense first round. More so then I can remember in a while.

I take today and tomorrow off, just to get the honey-do list done so I can be fully entrenched and ready for the show.....love this.....Go Cowboys!

the real question is will we all be on pins and needles around 10p est waiting to see who is left as #28 approaches, only to be a little disappointed if/when they trade out of the first?

I lucked out, the Mrs. just left for a business trip this morning. Returns next Wednesday. Could not have worked out any better.

We could be waiting all night and not have a pick. Be prepared for it. A trade down shouldn't surprise anybody.
For the annual " We gotta trade down and stock up" crowd that would be even better then having Myle Garrett there at 28

I wouldn't object to trading down but it is NOT expected.

This is the first time in a long time that I have no clue who to pick @ 28. I can't wait until this draft starts!

I'm more interested than normal because we need help at both defensive line and defensive backs. I want a stronger defense this year and with the addition of Jaylon and Tapper as well as a couple of good picks we will be on our way.

That largely depends on who is still available at the time they trade down.

I don't expect any thing at the TE position until late in the draft.
But like the OP said there is no consensus in this years draft.
What I expect is it will be unpredictable

Time to figure out a way to move up from 28 to 2 and get Garrett

28, first next year, and Collins

If we somehow get Harris, Barnett, or McDowell I will be ELATED

I would welcome that depending on who is there.

Usually that scares me, but this is a great draft to do it if we drop only a few spots. Getting an extra third in this one would be like gold.

Barnett is probably the most overrated player that we all think is a first rounder.

I am not saying he is not worth it. But he is looking like the victim of poor analysis.

Take the players that you thought were good in January. Take them early. Don't allow the workouts to turn you off the tape.

I think his Combine hurt him worse than let on.

It is an interesting first round and in particular draft.

It's supposed to be arguably the best DB draft class ever. Lots of talk of DB's with 5th round grades that would get 2nd round grades in virtually any other draft.

The rest of the positions in the draft are pretty solid. The QB class is weak, but you have some intriguing prospects in Trubisky and Mahomes.

Lots of talk about teams trading down to acquire more picks. That usually means a weak class (get more picks so you increase your chances of getting one good player), but this draft seems more like teams think there's a lot of depth to the draft so getting more picks may lead to a great draft for them.

If that assumption is true, there should be a dramatic increase in the quality of pass defense league wide as these outstanding corners transform team after team.

Won't happen though.

How is he overrated?
