I think perhaps your sentence structure is faulty and you mean the Chargers could beat them even in Foxboro, right?

"The way they play defense"? Why do you say that?theebs;1855953 said:Jax is the flavor of the month just like pittsburgh was.
I will say this once, Jax and the way they play defense, they have no chance to beat the pats.
None, zip, nada.

I think the Jags could do it. Garrard almost has a little Romo moxie in him, and he can run. I think a running QB is something that could really hurt the Pats. They're one of the few teams that can overpower the Pats.
I'd say the Colts could too, because I think Addai is one of the very best and very underrated. I just think Freeny is a huge loss for them. If they don't get Harrison back full speed, forget it.
Chocolate Lab;1856007 said:The difference is that now they have Jones-Drew and even more important, Garrard is playing better than Leftwich ever did.
I mean, the Pats will be favored and probably favored big against anyone they play. But if the premise is that the weather is bad and the Pats can't throw it every down -- like they've had trouble doing some lately -- I like the Jags. They run it and are very strong up front. It's pretty hard to ignore those repeated drives when the awful Ravens pounded it right down their throats.

Sallas, Indy and Jax have faced much more competition and that will be invaluable in a tight playoff game. We still have yet to see Randy Moss pout if his team gets down and he is not getting the ball (which I think could happen). I think Moss = Charles Barkley: great player but will somehow never win the big one. At least I am trying to convince myself of that.

They have a solid D, a smart QB, and a good running game.
Playoffs will be interesting.
And then they went into Indy with a rematch and lost by a field goal. They're getting better.HogsRLegends;1862394 said:They lost to the Colts 29-7. They are nowhere close to the Pats and Colts.
khiladi;1855248 said:The Jaguars can run the ball and play in inclement weather. Hell yeah, they can beat the Pats, AND in Foxboro I might add. The road to the SB in the AFC is going to be a pretty tough battle, because all the teams seem to be coming on as of late, with the exception of the Patriots who have struggled as of late.
Rememeber also, the Colts didn't have Marvin Harrison when they played the Patriots and Gonzales has been stepping up his game ever since.

If they win I wont come here for a month.
all that matters is new england and indy.
lane;1862547 said:see ya in a couple months then..take it easy.
theebs;1862569 said:so your going on record saying that jax is going to beat new england.
I would bet everything I have on the pats in that first round, especially if its jax.
like i said If I am wrong I wont come here for a month.
although I am not sure what that proves and it is pretty stupid!
sporadic;1855213 said:While the Patriots have looked very good in the regular season...they got 6 very easy wins by virtue of playing in the worst division in football. Every NFC East teams they faced had legitimate chances of winning.

If the Chargers and Patriots play each other in the playoffs I believe the Chargers will beat them on their own turf.
Karma is going to come back to haunt the Patriots for last year as they danced all over the Chargers field.
There is bad blood between those 2 teams and I honestly think no team hates the Patriots as much as the Chargers currently do.
Plus the 2 teams are almost in reversed rolls. Chargers were the best AFC team last year when the Playoffs started. Patriots are this year.
