That the NFC is down/wide open? Why because Brady and Rogers teams are struggling is that why?
I call BS, and say that the NFC is as it always is! The AFC is wide open now as it has been since Brady left, it's wide open.

Both the NFC and the AFC currently has 7 teams over 500.
The NFC has 29 SB winners to the AFC 27.

The NFC is awful…like the worst it’s been in a decade.

Rodgers is old and has no weapons and old man Brady ain’t what he used to be.

3 elite QBs in football IMO - all 3 in the AFC.

I've never seen the NFC this bad. We have 3 good teams in the NFC that can make the SB. The rest are either average or suck.

I don’t think you understand what people are insinuating when they say the nfc is bad bc it isn’t what you are implying. And they’re right, the nfc is bad. You are wrong.

I disagree. AFC is a joke to. I would even say the 2 best teams in the NFL are in the NFC. Maybe 3 best teams since Vikings beat Bills in their backyard

I don't get the stat that says our line is only winning 46% of their snaps in pass pro when we've given up the fewest sacks in the league. It just doesn't compute that we'd be last in pass block win rate and 1st in sacks given up. Football Outsiders has our line ranked 3rd in pass blocking while ESPN has us last? That's a pretty wide gap.

I can only think it’s an anomaly in the figures related to play action or something. We are clearly a good O-line.

I do think there is an absence of established QB stars in the NFC. It used to be Matt Ryan, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton and they were all MVP candidates. Now the NFC is lead by Dak and Jalen Hurts. Dak is probably the only one that has been established long enough to build a decent rep and his playoff record is nothing to fear.

The NFC is the last thing from open. Only one of two teams is winning that conference. It will be either the Cowboys or Eagles.

Yah, pretty much.

And of course the Eagles turn into the team to beat.

We've reached a point where FA, salary caps, and crap officiating have done exactly what they were intended.
brought us mediocre football.
Happily we have assembled a group of players and a couple coordinators who are identifying player strengths and putting them in positions to shine.

There are only 2 folks who can keep us from a super bowl appearance .
1. MM failure to have the team focused and disciplined for a big game.
2. Our beloved QB having a meltdown in a big game.
But yes, if we're on our game nobody in the watered down NFC stops us.

Granted coaching seems to be a problem in our big games.

Dak will have a big game test vs the Eagles before the end of the season. We'll know more then.

What criteria are they using? If he wanted to, the quarterback can get the ball out before he gets sacked on every play. Take the Thursday night game for example. Would you say the Rams offensive line played well on that final drive? They were horrible, yet Mayfield led them to a TD.

NFC has two true contenders. Eagles and 49ers can compete with Bills or Chiefs. Vikings and Cowboys are more on par with Titans. Tannehill, cousins and Dak are all guys that are mediocre to poor in big games.

I was fast asleep long before that drive ever happened, but their line has been abysmal all year so not surprised. Here's the link to the FO site to check it out.

The NFC is weird. TB, LAR, and GB all have taken huge steps back. The entire NFCE however, has taken strides forward. SF is solid— but who knows what will happen with JG’s injury?

KC and Buff still look to be the heavyweights. Every team has some flaws. Injuries and who is peaking/fading when Jan rolls around will (as always) be influential
Bengals are surging at the right time again they are at this point playing the best in the AFC so that 3 Heavy's plus MIA is a threat... Eagles and Cowboys are the NFC heavy's as SF will drop bit with Purdy..MN seems to be possibly a paper team with 10 wins.

so maybe the AFC is more top heavy but NFC wide open..i might have to agree with that as it stands today,

I'm not sure that is just showing pass blocking. It looks like run blocking to me.

On the last drive Mayfield was under duress. Sometimes with lineman on him. The refs also ignored a few obvious holds. They could not stop the Raiders DEs. Had Tillery, or however you spell his name for the Raiders not done something stupid, the game was all but over. After a sack for 9 yards, he decides it's a good idea to smack the ball out of Baker's hands.

yeah parity , and bad reffing stupid rules, which is intentional by nfl has watered down the nfl to the point I am getting bored with it.

The NFC is weak this season, and so is the the AFC ! LOL.
I think NFC IS weaker though.
Maybe detroit gets in playoffs, then goes on to win SB ! wouldnt that be exciting?

I think the cowboys players are just too in love with themselves to actually get to a SB, but it is possible.

How is the NFC worse than the AFC? Dallas, Philly, Minnesota are on par with KC, Cincy, Buffalo. And then there is a drop off in each conference after the top 3.

Have to scroll over to the right for pass blocking, then it let's you sort it.

Minnesota is significantly worse than every other team in that group

the bills and chiefs are widely regarded as the two best teams in the nfl

there’s a gap
