This NFCCG could be a pointer for the future for us

They have cap space. If they hit on the QB (Ward or Sanders). They could make a jump much like the Texans did with Stroud and 3-14 Washington did with Daniels.

Again, if Ward or Sanders are the real deal, why would it surprise anyone that the Giants could improve? They already have a future star playing at WR and the defense has pieces.
Well, the WFT had weapons on both sides of the ball prior to free agency, especially on the offense. Their kryptonite has been on D, and still is but they filled some voids. Let's talk ownershp, as the Commodes brought in a new regime, and that was almost more key than anything else. Mara might be worse than Jerry which is saying a lot, so there is much more work to be done there than your other 2 examples. The Giants have failed in the draft the last number of years and the other two teams you mentioned have not. Like I said, if they turn things around internally, draft and spend wisely they could be there in a few years. No chance this happens Year 1, and neither QB you mentioned are in the ilk of Stroud or Daniels. Not even in the conversation I don't think

You mean the part with us not being in it? If so I definitely agree.

Eagles have the better overall roster, retooled and restocked every year by Howie "Satan" Roseman, the man with the keys to the franchise.
Commies have the better QB and a roster retooled with draft picks and FA's that make immediate contributions, thinks to aggressive GM'ing.

The Giants have inept ownership and a GM that ensures continued Giants suckage and rent-free 4th place status.

I know we like to bash Jerry and his son, but Jerry didn't get to where he is in life by being stupid. Is there some sliver of hope that Jerry, seeing two NFCE teams in the NFCCG, knows that the climb to the top is now blocked by two division rivals, as well as a stacked Detroit roster and a resurgent Rams team that will only get better? Yes, I I've seen posters say that we should have swept the Commanders. Those posters overlook the fact that the Eagles curb stomped us twice, once with backup QB's. Jerry is probably near the end of his days. I'm sure he doesn't want to pass away before seeing one more Super Bowl featuring his beloved Cowboys.

What will make Jerry see the light???? I'm no spring chicken myself. I want to see another Lombardi before I pass on. Can Jerry see the arrow pointing in the direction we need to follow?
Nope , Jerry has locked himself into this course of action.
This is our fate as Cowboys fans.
Jerry is the captain going down with the ship.
Unfortunately we are along for the ride.

come again? No run game, no WR, no QB...no OL...I can go on. If they draft properly and build in FA, they could be a few years away but not even close yet. There is also no QB like Daniels in this draft
Malik Nabers looks pretty darn good

He’s certainly football stupid. 30 years of moronic decisions solidifies that. Hope is completely gone with him in charge!

Jerry is not stupid, but he may be losing his faculties at age 82.

Dallas should have beaten Washington twice. But that says more about Washington than it does about Dallas. I think Washington is playing way over its head now. We'll see how next week goes for them. But we've seen teams get a lot of confidence in the playoffs and surprise people. I think the Commanders are in that category. Look at their roster. They don't really match up with the Eagles, or the Lions, but they are playing with a lot of confidence and anything can happen.

At the same time, the Cowboys are so far behind the Eagles I do not see how they can catch up to them in a single off-season. And you know the Eagles will do whatever they can to identify weaknesses in their lineup and fill those weaknesses with quality players. I don't think Jerry Jones is up to the task.
Washington was just lucky to play a lions team who had like 8 starters ho down on defense.

like I said, 3 years. There plenty of more issues with the NYG than either Houston or Washington had. Malik is a great start but lots more needee
My point is saying "no WR" makes it look like you probably aren't familiar with their roster.

I hope you're right. Because otherwise, Dallas will be in last place based on how they run their offseasons.

The team can clear almost $100M in cap space, the only question is will they…and therein lies the issue, will they shouldn’t even be a question.

The team “gives” their HCs their staff, in part at least…that’s for every coach after Jimmy Johnson.

JJones is a classic narcissist, he never second guesses himself, has zero introspection, and thinks he is always right, and surrounds himself with people who tell him what he wants to hear.

Jerry is absolutely football stupid, he hit the oil lottery, but being rich doesn’t matter in sports, just look at Dan Snyder and Woody Johnson for examples.

..we had our chances in the last 3 years. But McCarthy couldn't bring the focus needed.
It's really unfortunate for us..sigh.

historically, the NYG ownership family has been pretty darn good. But they have been prone to making mistakes recently with the GM/ football VP type position. And its had a trickle down effect. I would take the Mara family in a heartbeat over jerry and his gang of goofs.
I was about to say, I've seen people bagging on the Giants a lot this week. Yes, they've been bad lately, but they still have 2 Super Bowl wins in the last 30 years. Any Dallas fan would kill for that.

NY held onto Danny Dimes for too long.

Philly makes bold moves but isn’t afraid to get out of it. They went through rollercoaster of QBs after McNabb. They even had some success, like Foles’ first time in Philly when he led the league in passer rating. But they never committed. They could’ve let Wentz cripple them but they drafted Hurts even when they had a young Wentz a removed from an MVP season. They released Foles immediately after winning the Super Bowl. And I can see them moving on from Hurts if he has one bad season.

It might get the same thing in Washington. They quickly gave up on highly drafted Haskins. They had some early success with Henicke and Howell but jumped on the opportunity to get better.
While he isn’t paid as much as Prescott, and the guarantee is south of $200 million, Hurts has a NTC, and the Eagles are similarly tied to their QB as the Cowboys are to theirs. They have an out after 2026, but it comes with significant cap hits. Suffice to say they made a mistake, too.

Spot on. It's the ability to move on from failed 'projects', or selling high on assets that they believe are going to depreciate.
Jerry only knows what's in front of him.

Two Championship games and a SB somewhat disproves your point.

lol, thanks I am familiar. They also have a pretty good LT who missed the year with an injury but that doesn't make their OL good. You should apply for OC of this team
