This O Line will be as good as The Great Wall of Dallas

I dont think year 2 will be as good for Washington
Look at how they approached improving their offensive line. Look at what they did to add another capable receiver. Compare that to how the Cowboys approached those two areas.

I imagine the fanbases of the other three NFCE teams are hoping Daniels isn’t what he appears to be. Washington won’t win as many games as last season with their schedule. That doesn’t mean they don’t win the division. They got their new stadium deal. I don’t think they’re going to let up.

Hoping last year was a fluke and that Daniels will suffer the dreaded “sophomore slump” is typical off season hallucinations from overdosing on hopeium.

Or I think we're a better team than Washington still. We beat them with a jalr injured team and cooper rush and Daniel's looked terrible.

They took him out early in the last game, because again, he was looking terriblem

Look how they approached their oline? We have 3 1st round picks and a 3rd round pick on our oline.

Last 3 years deebos receiving numbers look like year 2 tolbert.

I don’t think the Cowboys are better than the Commanders. And I think everyone knows what the critical difference is between the two teams.

As good as The Great Wall was, their greatness still gets exaggerated to this day.....I'm just saying.

If Steel and Guyton can improve, I predict we will see a resurgence of great offensive line play in Dallas. With Beebe in his 2nd season and Tyler Smith and Tyler Booker manning the middle this O line will be better than the Great Wall of Dallas.
LOL!!!!!

Those 3 interior players are cornerstone type players .Dallas has a chance to be one of those dominant lines that just blows defenders off the ball .The talent is here and I believe this coaching staff has what it takes to make these players great.
I couldn't agree with you more, Jerry.

Oh my goodness. Lol. Did you see those lines in the 90. This line can’t hold their smelly jocks. Delusional takes

Correct me I’m wrong but wasn’t he a left T in college?

CAREER NOTES

...1,011 of his career snaps were at right tackle and 70 were at left tackle...

2022
... started season opener at left tackle vs. UTEP (9/3) but shifted to primarily a right tackle role rest of the season …
______________

As far as football is concerned, the site also mentions Tyler Guyton played:

a) primarily as a defensive lineman in high school
b) one game his freshman season
c) while splitting time at tackle as an H-back

Obviously, Guyton's athleticism added versatility for how his coaches would use him. However, his pre-professional career has been extremely limited at the position he was drafted for.

This was my main concern when his name was called on day one of the draft. It deepened watching him struggle with his transition back to left tackle on the pro level. Dallas is testing his athleticism and versatility at their extreme.

Hopefully, the gamble will pay off. Some players can successfully switch to positions they were not either strongest or proficient before reaching the NFL. Others fail. Guyton must fall into the former category, mainly for Dak Prescott's sake. Blind side protection falls squarely on his shoulders.

Nice. Thank you for the info. One glimmer of hope is that Guyton may have had trouble adjusting to the right side last year. Hopefully this season he has the position down. Another thought I had is since we collected Gs this offseason we could bench Steele, move Guyton to his natural position at left T, then have Tyler, Beebe, Hofman, Booker and Guyton as starting 5. If we did that then we may strengthen our Ts but weaken the interior line. I’m just brainstorming on ways to get the most talent out there. I guess a big part of the offense is going to come down to Guyton making a jump. That’s going to be crucial this season.

Guyton playing like a 1st rounder and Mazi playing like a first rounder is critical for both offensive and defensive lines. I know I’m stating the obvious but we really need these guys to step up.

Bold> That might have been true. It is rare for any rookie to play at an all-pro level out the gate.

Even so, I believe Tyler Guyton would have performed better at right tackle in his first year. It is the position he excelled at in college and was most familiar with.

I will be beyond ecstatic if this offensive line gels quickly. It has the potential of being extremely formidable. I still have hope that will come true.

On the other hand, Mazi Smith does not inspire the same in me. I think solid improvement in the defensive line will not be because of him. Hopefully, I am wrong.
