This Offense Looks the Exact Same

I saw zero improvements or any new wrinkles. The same stale playcalling. Nothing to keep the defense off balance or guessing. It is the same junk. Each player lines up and tries to beat his man every play. If they do, it looks good. But it is not a recipe for long term success. The same ol run based on 1st down boring playcalling. The same 2 and 3 yard outs. So many comebacks routes and routes where the receiver catches it with zero opportunity to make a player after the catch.

Also, the same ol long developing routes down the field where Dak has to drop back 4-5 steps and wait. When you already know this OL can not hold up against the Rams dL. And the right side of your line has an undrafted free agent for goodness sake. Dak is best when he is making quick reads. But nope, we have him drop back constantly. We didn't attack down field and open anything up.

The play that stands out to me is the 3rd and 4 on the first drive of the 2nd half. We have all the momentum. We have a 1pt lead and looking to go up 8 and take a little command. What do we do here? A long drop back where Dak's main read is a long developing cross route in the middle of the field about 12 yards down the field. Awesome. Nothing quick or heck, even a run.Zeke was getting going at this point.

I'm interested to know how exactly you know what Dak's main read (first?) read on a play was. Seems to me that would take not only knowing the play called, but knowing Dak's keys and what came through the headset. Questioning the playcalling is valid but that's a weird assumption.

We should of protected the pocket more aka used more blockers. The rams was getting to use only rushing 4 guys. They could drop 7 back in coverage all game. Thats a big issue. I knew our offensive line was going to be an issue especially once I heard the undrafted FA rookie was starting. Should of ran more bootlegs and playaction to move the pocket instead of just dropping back like Dak is Tom Brady. Let Dak use his feet.

In the no huddle offense with Gallup, Cooper and Cee Dee running wild..for a few minutes it looked like the greatest show on Turf...then we went into a shell with Zeke in 2nd half.. I love to pound the rock but I think we need to open it up..we might have something.

Well, we kept Kellen "Genius" Moore for consistency, and that's what we see.
Yeah..

McCarthy wanted the Boy Genius.

Well..good luck with that.

Moore got Garrett fired.

He can get McCarthy fired also.

I predict McCarthy will takeover playcaller by the Bye Week.

Right about when mathematically we are near elimination.

I'm not overly sure Moore didn't come to be OC by way of Jerry's infatuation with his hype!

He's still in his infancy as OC. Pray for the lad to bloom! Will MM eventually take over? o_O

Yup. Until then the team will emphatically support the staff and players, claiming there is plenty of time to improve, until there isn't.

MM is Jason Garrett 2.0. Convince me otherwise.

Garrett could have won a title with Green Bay.

Exactly. Not sure why anyone was surprised. McCarthy has said more than once that he's the one learning a new offense.

I was hoping for a change but it was made clear months ago that wasn't happening.
