This offense should work

A new top 10 QB and a new coaching staff sounds like good motivation to this young team to play better in 2019. Camp Cupcake II has proven time and time again they can't get it done.

Cool story! Why stop there? Why not include 2016 as well!?
Fine. In his last 5 regular season games of 2016, not including Philly, he averaged less than 200 ypg and had only one game over 250 yards. Some of that is just due to passing volume, but he had 3 straight games with under 200 yards.

Dak struggles to sit in the pocket and throw the ball down the field - whether that's the system or him to blame is up for debate, though it's a combination. The fact that you don't see how previous seasons don't relate to this season is baffling. It would be true if he threw the ball 50 times for 400 yards, but yesterday was a repeat of games we've seen over and over again.

How many threads can one person make about a player? You can come from different angles but in the end, it's still the same ****, different post. Lol

2nd and 17 and the Panthers had 8 men in the box. The Cowboys ran the ball. That's on the QB...though going in a 2 TE set is dumb there.

Lol should of heard me tell at the TV right before that play saying Garret will run here, it's his MO

Look at Dak yesterday when we spread it out and just went hurry up. He actually established a rhythm and started moving the ball.

But this slow tempo lethargic offense with predictable routes is just too easy to defend.

OL was porous. Dak continues to get jumpy in the pocket and seeing ghosts. Mechanics go out the window. Can't hit anything long because pressure (or perceived pressure) is in his face. OC makes no adjustments, has Dak continue to sit in pocket. Abandons the run. Meanwhile, Carolina runs Cam to adjust and take pressure off the line.

Next game if the Oline cant protect we need to get some designed runs for Dak
and/or implement the no huddle, fast paced offence for periods. Get him in a rhythm. This no adjustment thing is insanity.

The oline is very concerning.

I am one of Dak's biggest supporters but man I don't know. I think I have been giving him the benefit of the doubt because I don't want to start over looking for another QB. It's so hard to find a good NFL QB these days. How he can go from playing like he did in 2016 to now is beyond me. I guess defensive coordinators have just figured him out. Our line has to be the most overrated in football too. Dak acts as if he is afraid to throw the ball unless the receiver is wide open. I do know with the current coaching staff we are not winning anyway. Garrett needs to go.......

I absolutely, 100% agree with this post. Every post game thought I've had has been about the evaluation process. At some point, someone in that building has to be able to say, "We have a problem at quarterback". The Sophomore slump is over. Now it's just inability. The process is over. Now its just incompetence. Can the Jones be that delirious? (I laugh at myself for even asking because I know the answer, but its astounding).
Nobody will say there's a problem at QB, because this staff has scapegoated EVERYBODY to try to make Dak better.

Saying that Dak's struggling would admit being wrong on Dez and wrong in the entire approach to this offseason.

I felt most of the game like we had a better chance to score on defense than on offense.

Was I alone on that?

Might as well trot out the Wing T they have more personnel for that offense than a real one...

The one glimmer of hope was the look on Jerry's and Stephen's face at the end. Jerry didn't talk to the media, which I didn't he was physically capable of doing.

Are they going to dish out $150 million for that? They know they ***** this up, and now they're cornered.

OK...who thinks Dak "could be" a good QB with a good coach and staff? I'm beginning to wonder....

Kinda hope he gets a shot with another team just to answer that question. He'd be better than he is right now.

Who is going to go up and get a football?

That guy was cut.

Rico? He's the only one capable, but since the coaches say he can't block, though I didn't see a lot of great TE blocking yesterday, Rico will never be dressed on game day.

I have been wonder all these same things.

I think Chaz Green ruined him. Now, if only we had a QB coach who actually performed as a QB in the NFL.
