This team made great strides this year especially on the defensive side of the ball. Yes, they played awful yesterday. It happens. Everyone is looking at one game and making judgments of getting rid of everybody that played lousy yesterday.
JJ and SJ needs to look at the coaching staff and definitely replace Lineham and his vanilla scheme - doesn't work. Also, evaluate Kellen Moore. Start new with a OC and QB coach who can incorporate a new offensive scheme that best suits Dak's talents. With Amari and Gallup we should be good for years to come with a one and two receiver.
With a healthy Frederick and an offseason conditioning program for Conner should correct the line problems. We have good backups if needed temporary. Hopefully, Tyron will get the necessary operation needed for his back. Tyron needs to get back being who he was before the back issues.
On the defensive side, we need to get a safety (Thomas at the right price) and bigger DT's. Promote Richard to DC. He did a great job since coming aboard.
I would not extend Jason or Dak this off-season. I'd play out next year and if it does not improve then I would replace Jason Garret. I believe Dak will improve greatly with the right coaches and system. It will probably cost more waiting to give Dak an extension but doing it beforehand can set the team in salary cap h3ll for years.
Just my two cents.
