This Packers Team is More Dangerous Than Many Think

I've been listening to some of the media coverage on this game, and some of our fans have lost their minds. Obviously, not many have paid attention to our upcoming opponent.

I was listening to Bobby Belt recently, and he's out there embarrassing the Cowboys and giving the Packers motivation. Essentially, he asked Broaddus to tell him why he should have a healthy respect for Green Bay. In that episode, it almost sounds like Belt is both drunk and on crack. It's quite bizarre.

Even more bizarre are the comments, where people are dissing on Broaddus for not parroting his line. It's silly.

The first thing to remember is this Packers' team is young. So, they ought to have more stamina for the playoffs after a 17 game season. Also, their defensive pass rush is pretty good. They have one less sack than Dallas.

Add to that, four solid WRs, a pretty good OL, a solid run game, and a QB who has thrown 4 less TDs than Dak, and they suddenly appear to be quite the opponent, for an underdog.

We're talking about a team with all the pieces they actually need to win it. In fact, it's quite the opposite of what Belt says. Maybe Dallas shouldn't fear this team. But they should certainly respect them. They started out 2-5, then won 7 out of 10 of their last games.

I don't care who you are. That's impressive. We likely win, I think. But if we don't, we'll have suffered defeat from a formidable team and an actual contender.

If we lose, I expect to see lots of scapegoating and the typical ignorant reactions from our fanbase. This isn't the same team we played last year. They're even better, if you've actually cared to look at how they've played, recently.

What happened when they were 2-5 isn't really relevant when they've managed to win 7 of their last 10. If we're going off the last 10 games, which is how I judge how strong a team is going into the playoffs nowadays, the Packers are on the same level as Dallas. What gives us an advantage is having homefield for this game.

We'll see. Between the 105.3 clowns, aside from Broaddus, and Belt's new takes, I haven't really heard any honest assessments without bias and without hate or homerism, which is what I expect from the media. Thankfully, Broaddus has been around long enough he doesn't lose his mind and has actually been doing his homework lately, which I'm thankful for.

I suspect McCarthy has done his homework, cleaned up some of the details, and has this team dialed in. Even so, like I said, this team is no pushover. Truth be told.

This would be a terrible loss if they do. Sure, Packers have talent as every NFL team does. But you pride yourself of being a top home team. Go and win.
I get it. The thing is, if all things are equal, which I think it's pretty close, although Dallas is a better team, then anything can happen.

You can set the standard as some unrealistic ultimatum, but that shouldn't be the standard for the coach. As in, if he loses he's toast. I just don't agree with that. It should depend on what happens, how, and why it happened. Anyway, Bilichick is done. So, hearing about him coming to Dallas makes me want to puke. I'm not even going to talk about that scenario anymore. I just don't think it's fair to MM, DQ, etcetera, after all they've done. I would like to see DQ stay in Dallas, yet again. Same for MM. But we'll see, I guess.

Okay. I mean, in the NFL, anyone can lose to anybody. There are no Central Arkansas vs Alabama matchups. That’s doubly true in the playoffs. The Packers are about as advantageous a matchup as the Cowboys could hope for.

The giants beat them!! If we lose, it will be embarrassing!!
You guys do remember I have to keep pointing this out it's a week to week league it doesn't matter what the giants did to them weeks ago doesn't matter what happened last week for either of us it is only matters what happens in this game and crazy things happen in NFL football games bounces toes get out of bounds things get going things get blocked I mean the tips it's just crazy that's why I gotta watch the game no one's predicting an easy win for the Cowboys....

Nothing matters what happened in the regular season right now it's all 0-0.... Time to step up in the second season..

The OP just wrote that to be able to say "see told you" should we lose.
No, no. I think we win. I expect a win. I'm just saying, this team is good. Many believe I'm a homer. But the reality is I'm a realist. I realize we have a top team. But the Packers are no slouch. I'm just saying.....

I only say I told you so when we win... I'm definitely not the type to say it when we lose. I'm not that bitter with my personal life.

Exactly. The Giants also beat the Eagles. They were in the playoffs just a year ago. So, they're not as bad as their record.. Good luck arguing that with some of our fanbase. But it is true, whether they recognize it or not.

You need better sources of information then. ALL i hear is Dallas will be pushed to the limit by Green Bay. So much so they are talking like Green Bay is better. If your scared, say your scared. WE WILL BEAT THE HELL OUT OF GREEN BAY. Don't goalpost move when the game is over.

Dak Prescott was raised in a trailer in extreme poverty - today’s game is a blessing.
He’s got this.

Their defense is not good, their LT is a bad, we are the second youngest team in the playoffs so how is youth going to hurt us again? So many things in this post just make me laugh.

No one is a pushover in today's league. Everyone has a shot. I think it's just bad football and lack of depth, as much as it is parity. Take anyone lightly at your own risk. Just ask Cleveland fans. And especially if you have been cheering on our team the last few years. We are the masters of coming in hyped and egg on face.

Dallas is absolutely a better team. Better teams for the most part win in the NFL playoffs. Especially better teams who are at home. This is the first time since 2016 that Dallas has any sort of homefield in the playoffs beyond the wild card round. They have no excuses this year to miss the NFC championship game. They missed playing the Rams wild card round, who I think is much more dangerous than the Packers and I think they will beat the Lions. Philly has imploded and now missing some key players. There is no team left outside of SF that you won't be favored against this round and next. If they can't capitalize on this opportunity, then I have no faith they will ever right this ship.

This whole lifting of the curse of putting Jimmy in the ring of honor seems to be ringing true. Started the very night it happened, winning a close game against Detroit, games we lose so often. Against a real good, division winner Lions team. Then benefitted from the Eagles melting down and losing to Arizona the next day, to allow us to control our own destiny for the East. Our nemesis Aaron Rodgers is no longer in our way in the NFC.

I am excited for this opportunity, all be it cautiously optimistic. As I really thought this team was Super Bowl bound in 2016 as a the dominant 1 seed.

You don't have to be scared to respect your opponent and to know what they've done to end this season sometimes it's the hot team that you have to be careful with they're on A roll they're young they're playing with house money as they say they can play loose they have no true expectations I mean yes you definitely should be respectfully aware that this team can beat you I'm not saying that's how it's gonna happen but that's what we're saying nobody's scared first of all we're not playing we're fans we're just saying just because they're nine and eight doesn't mean they're gonna be a pushover..

Its not about respect. Re-read his post. You are adding to it. He was very specific in his critique.
