No one is a pushover in today's league. Everyone has a shot. I think it's just bad football and lack of depth, as much as it is parity. Take anyone lightly at your own risk. Just ask Cleveland fans. And especially if you have been cheering on our team the last few years. We are the masters of coming in hyped and egg on face.
I never bought the parity angle for the NFL. The good teams win most of the time as the playoffs go on. You can usually point to who is going to be pretty good in any given year. NFL follows the NBA in terms of how the playoffs unfold. Higher seeds usually advance. The upsets happen the most in the wild card round and most the time, those teams are then beaten by better division winners the next round.

I don't see any surprise teams this year in the NFL that won their division. Dallas winning the East was sort of a surprise in how it unfolded during the season but before the year happened, no one would have been surprised if Dallas won. Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, Lions, Niners, all teams that were supposed to be good.

cowboys are home with a MVP Candidate QB vs a first year starter QB on the road with no playoff experience. It will be an embarrassing loss if Dak gets out Qb’d

Its not about respect. Re-read his post. You are adding to it. He was very specific in his critique.
It doesn't matter,

I'm just giving you my take on it and I'm telling you I'm glad this is the way fans are talking because I know the players aren't thinking this they're not walking in to that stadium thinking they're playing in nine and eight team that there's no chance they can lose....

that would be a mistake, that is how you get set up that is what we call a trap game but we all know this is a fans mentality there's no way our team for all the things that's happened this season and all the things that's happened in the playoff games they can be over confident.

all it takes is a pinky out of bounds or a toe out of bounds or a tip or something strange to happen to lose a game hell you could lose a game we've seen in the past where you're about to kick the game-winning field goal and the holder can't grab it you know Romo or you get a penalty a procedure call for the ball moving by the center snapping the field goal and then they make you re-kick it and then you miss or it gets blocked..

I mean so much crazy **** can happen in the game you better be on your game...

I've been listening to some of the media coverage on this game, and some of our fans have lost their minds. Obviously, not many have paid attention to our upcoming opponent.

I was listening to Bobby Belt recently, and he's out there embarrassing the Cowboys and giving the Packers motivation. Essentially, he asked Broaddus to tell him why he should have a healthy respect for Green Bay. In that episode, it almost sounds like Belt is both drunk and on crack. It's quite bizarre.

Even more bizarre are the comments, where people are dissing on Broaddus for not parroting his line. It's silly.

The first thing to remember is this Packers' team is young. So, they ought to have more stamina for the playoffs after a 17 game season. Also, their defensive pass rush is pretty good. They have one less sack than Dallas.

Add to that, four solid WRs, a pretty good OL, a solid run game, and a QB who has thrown 4 less TDs than Dak, and they suddenly appear to be quite the opponent, for an underdog.

We're talking about a team with all the pieces they actually need to win it. In fact, it's quite the opposite of what Belt says. Maybe Dallas shouldn't fear this team. But they should certainly respect them. They started out 2-5, then won 7 out of 10 of their last games.

I don't care who you are. That's impressive. We likely win, I think. But if we don't, we'll have suffered defeat from a formidable team and an actual contender.

If we lose, I expect to see lots of scapegoating and the typical ignorant reactions from our fanbase. This isn't the same team we played last year. They're even better, if you've actually cared to look at how they've played, recently.

What happened when they were 2-5 isn't really relevant when they've managed to win 7 of their last 10. If we're going off the last 10 games, which is how I judge how strong a team is going into the playoffs nowadays, the Packers are on the same level as Dallas. What gives us an advantage is having homefield for this game.

We'll see. Between the 105.3 clowns, aside from Broaddus, and Belt's new takes, I haven't really heard any honest assessments without bias and without hate or homerism, which is what I expect from the media. Thankfully, Broaddus has been around long enough he doesn't lose his mind and has actually been doing his homework lately, which I'm thankful for.

I suspect McCarthy has done his homework, cleaned up some of the details, and has this team dialed in. Even so, like I said, this team is no pushover. Truth be told.
I listened to this the other day and I agreed with both Belt and Broaddus. Broaddus was saying they have some talent. Belt was saying the same thing he was just saying the Cowboys shouldn't lose to them. Both weren't wrong. Packers have young talent. A lot of it and are playing some good football against some bad teams.

Belt's point was if this team is undefeated at home and is 3 or so more wins better than the Packers then they should beat them and he's right. Now I don't coach or have to play today but I for sure understand there are some things the Packers can do that can exploit us. I do think age will hinder them and lack of stars could possibly. But they just aren't stars now. I really like Packers receiving group. They can go 4 or 5 deep there and factor in our inability to stop the run at times? It could be the Seahawks game all over again.

I see no scenario where we don't score points today. People say its on Dak. And it probably will end up being that way but I really need this defense to set the tone.

CJ Stroud didn't have any experience either. It means nothing. Make no mistake this is a good Packers team. It isn't Dak vs Love its Love vs our defense and if our defense isn't going to pressure him with 4 then we will be in trouble. MVP candidate and all that other crap means nothing this is a Packers team that has nothing to lose. They are the youngest team in the league. They don't know they are suppose to lose today and Lafleur is getting the most out of that offensive unit.

Look it's the playoffs and anyone can win but as bad as a rushing team as we were we had more rushing yards than them. And we are the second youngest playoff team, 6 months avg older than them. Their offense has been good the last fourth of the season against not great teams but they are on a roll. They will lose cause their def isn't as good as ours.

Anything can happen. There are no guarantees in Football, it's now a new season, the team just needs to execute and not make dumb mistakes.
Main key there. They should win this game if they simply don't beat themselves and get off the field on 3rd downs.....

Most of the predictions came true for better seasons - Detroit, Miami. I think few, if any, predicted how truly dominant Baltimore would be. Remember, Ravens were still thinking about if they should re-sign Lamar not that long ago.

I think there were more surprise teams going down, then surprise teams going up. The story this year was depth at QB. A lot of teams seemed to drop fast when they lost their starting QB. Oh.. I remember those days! ;)

This would be a terrible loss if they do. Sure, Packers have talent as every NFL team does. But you pride yourself of being a top home team. Go and win.
It would be a terrible loss, considering we’ve won 17 straight regular season home games. If the Cowboys were to lose it would be their second straight home playoff loss.

The Packers are a hot team they’ve won three in a row. The recipe for success this season with the Cowboys is getting off to a good start. We don’t want put ourselves in a position where we’re playing from behind and Green Bay is able to pound the ball at us.

Do hot teams lose to the Giants and Buccaneers?

That was several weeks ago, they’ve won three straight since. It makes no difference what happened a month ago. They’re playing good football now and have momentum entering the playoffs.

Yes we can lose to the Packers but you could argue that they are the weakest playoff team

If we cannot beat one of the weakest playoff teams at home with a QB in his first year starting then Mccarthy needs to head to the office and clean it out after the game

It will be shameful and embarrassing and a disaster

You don't have to be scared to respect your opponent and to know what they've done to end this season sometimes it's the hot team that you have to be careful with they're on A roll they're young they're playing with house money as they say they can play loose they have no true expectations I mean yes you definitely should be respectfully aware that this team can beat you I'm not saying that's how it's gonna happen but that's what we're saying nobody's scared first of all we're not playing we're fans we're just saying just because they're nine and eight doesn't mean they're gonna be a pushover..
Amen.

I don't know why, but this happens every game practically in here! Fans act as if these teams we play are going to roll over for us, I don't get the thinking in. Saying "oh we're going to win, and win big!" when we haven't even played the game yet. The youth in this team is very scary, the unknown is even more scary!
