Yep, when the Cowboys Suck, most Cowboys related things sucks as well.

At least we dont have Chad/Quincy debates, El Dorado fiasco's etc... There are always reasons to cheer, sometimes you just have to search a little harder for them.

Cheer up, Its basketball season already and baseballs just around the corner. Go Spurs and Astros....

It's sad to see this place so dead. Same threads have been stuck on the first page all week.

To be honest as Giants and Cowboys fans we are spoiled. Seeing many Superbowl victories in our lifetime made us ignorant during down years. Look at Browns, look at Raiders, look at Jets. I live in New York so I am able to follow Jets closely. When I look at those Jets fans I sometimes admire their love for their team. I mean none of them saw a Superbowl win. Pats have been dominating their division but Jets boards are full of action. Well, what do I know. Maybe I am wrong.

My lack of interest comes from being caught in a strange place where I don't know if I want the team to win this week or not. There is a playoff chance but everything is so far fetched.

We have a coaching staff that is stubborn and the reality is nothing will change.

We can't get excited about the draft because we don't know where we would be drafting and even if we did we don't know what we would even do with a pick early in the first round. Maybe another so what player.

Al of this combined with the reality that every team pretty much sucks, the refs suck, fantasy football sucks.

It's hard to really care. It's football Sunday and I am leaving home to go to the grocery store instead of watching football.

There's really not much to look for anymore except for the development of the young players.

As an Astros fan, and enduring the 2012-2014 100Plus loss seasons and having a top 2 pick every year, including #1 - 2 of those 3 years and seeing the picks move through the system and onto the major league team, I am excited about next year. I am hoping for a similar type thing with the boys, a top pick that makes a difference, the maturation of some of our younger players and gelling of the "core" for a much better next year for the Boys. At this point thats the only light at the end of this tunnel I can see. Hopefully Romo and Dez comes back fully healthy, the Oline keeps Romo upright next year and we draft a replacement thats ready in a year or two. Otherwise we are looking at becoming the Browns (again). As if 96 through now wasn't long enough.

Losing sucks and I am tired of it.

I wish people here would talk about more than just the Cowboys. The Off-Topic zone used to be lively. Instead, everyone wants to whine and complain about the Cowboys. Screw the Cowboys, the Dallas Stars are far more entertaining right now anyhow.

People should really open their interests up. There is a hell of a lot more to life than just the Cowboys.

Site traffic is up 20% compared to last year at this time. This always happens after a loss when the next game is 10-14 days away, whether it is the bye week or right after the Thanksgiving game.

The main problem is not just the losses, it's the lack of optimism given the loss of Romo yet again. At least earlier in the season when he got hurt, there was optimism because he would be returning at some point and there was hope he could rescue the season. Even now, if we had Romo, given the state of the NFC East, there would be hope. However, Romo is gone and we have Cassel, who hasn't won a game as the Cowboys quarterback, and even if he wins a game or two over the next few games, not many people believe that he could win out, much less win a playoff game here.

I'm in two fantasy leagues. Last year I won one, came in third in the other and made some pretty good money. This year--

3-9
1-11

Yeah - it's a pretty forgettable year.

I'm actually really pleased we've got a game that maters still somehow with only three wins the first eleven weeks of the season. And I'm still hopeful we can win on Monday to keep things more interesting. We're a lot luckier than we deserve in that regard.

There's only so many ways you can say that though without it getting intentionally misinterpreted the way visionary just tried to do above. It's no fun arguing the reality of the standings with a bunch of people who have given up hope. If they want to throw themselves off bridges, and there are enough of them, you're not going to be able to stop the procession. And talking too much about it just leads to a lot of aggressive debates in the threads. That makes for a lot of unpleasantry that isn't much better to read than the funeral dirge stuff.

There's not really a market for hope or for fun relating to football right now. So the best policy is for everybody to post less.

It'll pick up, though, if we win Monday. If we lose, well it's a long stretch between here and free agency.

I had to take a break after Thanksgiving. I could understand being down about what happened. I was too, of course. But having to endure "fans" posting "this team sucks" and similar things felt like piling on. Sorry, but that's just how I felt.

Last year when we were winning, those posters and posts went away. But they lay awaiting a downfall. To come out in full force.
Makes me think some fans are fans to just want to hate on things. They take glory in losing it seems.

I've decided to turn my attention to other things in life that I love and/or feel are more important.

Spending time with my kids and wife, learning how to play guitar, getting more school done, etc.

I have way too much to be thankful for to be down in the dumps arguing about my favorite sports team.

If Giants lose and we win, we will be one out of first place.
however...
I predict we get more posts and threads on how stupid this team is to win, and that they should tank to get a better draft pick. Than we get posts on great, we are one game out with 4 to go to win the division.

I can guarantee that from previous history. LOL.
