To me, beating the Eagles in the 1992 playoffs were for the fake kneel down game in 87, the 1989 Bounty Bowl, and the 1991 Sack Bowl game where Aikman was sacked 11 times...........
This victory over the Eagles is for the Eagles cheering Michael Irvin laying on the turf at the Vet in 1999!
This is for the Pickle Juice game in the 2000 season opener, when Andy Reid made us look like fools opening the game with an onside kick, and knocking Aikman out of the game, and Galloway going down with a knee injury making the trade a waste
This is for the McNabb scramble on MNF in 2004, that gets replayed over and over by ESPN as "one of the plays of the decade".
All the lopsided scores over the years in the decade, seems like every win was a lopsided "run up the score":
41-14 in 2000
46-18 and 36-14 in 2001
44-13 and 27-3 in 2002
36-10 in 2003
49-21 in 2004
44-6 in 2008
Sweeping them was nice, but ending our playoff winless drough against the team that had the best winning pct. in the NFC in the 2000s, and made 5 NFC championship game appearances, and one SB appearance. All the years the Eagles had opportunities to become a dynasty or win at least one SB in the decade, while Dallas struggled early in the decade and came on late in the decade? Hearing the media harp about the Eagles never losing an opening playoff game while never stopping to bring up Dallas' recent failures of winning a playoff game since 1996?
It was appropriate that we beat those darned Eagles. The last decade, I had a strong dislike of the Eagles and their fans.Sweeping them in 2005 wasn't enough as we missed the playoffs that season. Trouncing them at the Linc in 2007 wasn't enough as they later beat us in Dallas that season which sent us on our downward slide heading into the playoffs that year. This was for all those past failures and headaches of losing to the Eagles the last 10 years.
