I get all tingly thinking about our lone shining spot on this team.

Yes, other team positions have talent, but man for man, our RBs rock!

I catch myself thinking of how I'd play the tremendous trifecta of talent in Felix, Tashard and Marion.
Wow. The possibilities.
Felxi with his quickness and agility.
Tashard with his quickness and toughness.
Marion with his slam-bam approach to bulldozing linemen.

Ah tell you, this trio makes us deep in RB. I cannot remember when it was this good. I knows it was gud when Hill and Garrison and Thomas and Newhouse were smashing into defensive lines in the 70s.
And what could have been -- Emmitt AND Herschell.

But this trio is gonna be an amazing one.

You all there get off of your loungers and medieval wracks and parabolic machines and tell me how and how often you'd play these RBs.

When I hear the word "trifecta" I always think of pineapple express.:lmao2:

Need to set up more screen passes to Tashard in 09. Use him like a Westbrook/Slaton/Forte/Bush (pass catching RB).

I'm excited about the 3 also....

I like to see more screen to Felix who has the quickest burst of the 3.

True, but after watching Tashard catch the ball late in the season, he looks like he can make something happen.... Trying to get Tashard some playing time also. :)

In this fan's humble opinion, I think Choice has the skillset best-suited to be the starter.

I know that's not going to happen, I just see him as the most well-rounded of the three in terms of skills.

I think Barber starts (obviously), you have to keep him happy and justify his contract.

Give him a series or two to bang away at opposing defenses, and then give him a break and bring in Felix and his element of speed.

I can also envision numerous packages designed to get both on the field at the same time.

I can see Choice getting his carries in the mid-third quarter and then seeing Barber coming back in to finish the game after opposing defenses are won down.

Obviously packages, down and distance, goalline will dictate who plays as well.

But this position is loaded and as long as the big boys up front do their jobs, opponents should have their work cut out for them with the Cowboys' running game.

I agree I want to see him get some playing time. I think we will see Dallas try and find a way to get a couple of them on the field at the same time as well. However it is hard to get 3 RB involved ask most backs and they will say they need some carries to get a feel, it is hard to throw a couple of carries here and there and expect a RB to get into any type of groove. Looking at the Giants who used 3 RB they still had a primary back in Jacobs who was getting an avg of 13 carries a game with Ward getting 11 a game and Bradshaw getting only 4 a game and NY was pretty much a running team. It will be interesting to see how our staff works this all out

Felix doesn't seem to need to warm up as much as most backs, so he should be the one coming off the bench for a change of pace. I agree with some others that Choice's skill set is best suited to start, but the most likely scenario is Barber starting, the other two taking turns, then Barber closing. I like that.

I think it still difficult to get 3 RB involved not impossible but someone will be getting very few carries. Given Felix big play potential I expect he will see quite a bit of playing time both as a runner and receiver.

If all three are healthy, I see Felix forcing his way to more carries, MBIII returning to his closer role, and Choice not getting the ball enough. I hope to see some creativity with Choice in at FB - not as a lead blocker but more in the Richie Anderson pass catching type role.

I would hope to see situation like that so that we can get them all involved with in the game.

I can see Choice, Jones and maybe even Barber as the FB, thne spliting Choice or Jones out. Maybe the old single wing with choice or jones at WB

the important thing is rotation and clever use of the 3 backs to maximize their strengths-not use a RB till he gets injured and move on to the next one

I just hope that we keep all three instead of trading one for a high pick.

I don't know that it is in our -- or their -- best interests that we keep all three.

I can only say this is a great problem for Red to have. Finding touches for all three should had him working all off season drawing up schemes, plays, and situation to effectively utilize them all. I agree more screens and dump passes should be added to the play book for these 3.

It should be interesting to see what the Cowboys come up with to get these guys involved. I think if we can have big success on the ground it will only make the passing game that much more dangerous as you get safeties and LB cheating up to the line

We've seen so little of Jones and Choice, but their potential is sky high.

Jones has that one-run TD potential everytime the ball is in his hands. Choice though, IMO, has the potential to be a Westbrook type multi-weapon player. With what I consider (as do many others) limited talent at the WR position, I think using Choice out of the backfield could really jolt the effectiveness of the passing game. It can also open up the playbook by putting him AND Barber or Jones on the field at the same time.

Frankly, I think the more these three handle the ball, the better off this offense may be in 2009. The options are exciting and make the anticipation for the new season SO awful to endure.
