Well, I think this is a very valid point. Not saying the inmates will end up running the asylum but you gotta believe that after BP, these players are going to test the chain just a bit. Anybody who has ever had kids will understand this. What happens when you go away for a weekend and leave the teenager to watch the house? Yep, that's going to happen in Dallas eventually. Whomever gets this job had better be ready to put that kind of crap down or I suspect they might run the risk of lossing the team. Can't have a assistant handing out discipline in that situation. It underminds the HCs authority and then you have issues. Can't have Jerry doing it either. That will only accomplish the same thing quicker.

In all fairness to Norv, when the last guy Callahan tried to instill discipline and hold guys accountable on the Raiders ,they all *****ed to Ol Man Davis and Callahan was out the door. Tough to have a disciplinarian with a meddling owner who wont back up the HC.

I don't know that I can agree with this. I mean, my kids are not what I would consider bad kids but I trust them to be kids. Young people are going to do certain things without a certain amount of discipline and guidence. It doesn't mean there bad. It means they need that guidence and if it is not provided, then they will substitute for it with any direction, even bad direction, available. I know that these guys are getting paid to play but our team is made up of a lot more young guys then seasoned Vets. JMO
