If the Colts continue to stink they will bench Wentz. He has to play in around 75% of the snaps for the 1st to become a 2nd. No way the Colts will surrender a top 10 pick if they are 1-7ish.

That nasty 1-4 hole the Colts are in will be tough to pull out of.

They now look like a much better team than that, but they might only be able to crawl back to 7-10 or 8-9....

They have several easier division games but also have
Bills, Bucs, Cardinals and a few other challenges

Do you think if the Colts are say 3-9 and Wentz is nearing the 75% threshold they will keep playing him knowing they won’t go anywhere this year? The pick becomes a 2nd and that’s huge if it’s a top ten pick.

If they start winning, the point becomes moot and they will lose the 1st rounder for a possible run in the playoffs.

Fortunately it’s an awful QB class so don’t think they’ll be getting an upgrade over Hurtz who I think is average.

Ya there is know way they dont put Wentz on ice if they are looking like locks for top 10 pick at mid-season
