On the Sunday evening games, I thought NBC had the flexibility to "flex" a game up to the evening slot?

There are 2 really good games on during the day they should be the night game instead of the Cowboys vs the Vikings.

Packers vs Broncos
Patriots vs Bills

Clearly they don't care about quality games and only about ratings.

They rarely will flex Cowboys games until they are eliminated from the playoffs because they always generate high ratings from fans and haters.

There is also the problem that games have to be scheduled 12 (I think) days in advance and back at the cutoff date, the Cowboys had not yet lost to the Lions, so this upcoming game would have been a much more relevant game then.

We're the Cowboys we bring ratings like nobody's ever seen before!!

to me, it worked out perfectly--even though it wasn't the league or networks intentions necessarily. Once December rolls in, I hate to see fans having to sit outside in a cold WX city for a night game. And it's done so much when there are teams at home in warm WX cities or that have a domed stadium. They all pretend that "its all about the fans" but they make them sit outside in New England or Buffalo or NY or Cincy etc for night games in Dec/Jan.

..as a rebuttal...lol... Primetime ....!!! baby......;)

The job of a network executive is to maxmize advertising dollars. Having the Cowboys on will do that. He is doing what his boss wants him to do....I'm not sure what is confusing or controversial about that

That's not always true. They state that there are multiple factors that contribute to the decision. Obviously money/ratings are a factor. But if the job was to only go for the advertising dollar they would only schedule the top 5 market/ratings teams every Sunday night.

This Sunday nights game is a waste of time. Much rather watch 2 good teams battling it out.

The HIGHEST rated televised regular season game in the history of the NFL was between a team with a 5-5-1 record and a team with a 6-5 record.

Quality doesnt equate ratings
