I personally don't give 2 cents about what anyone personally feels about the team. What I care about is the atmosphere y'all negative nancies create in this forum, thus ruining this wonderful forum's experience for everyone. Y'all's negativity and wrongful blaming is nauseatingly toxic.

For a game or two I had hope that the D was finally getting to what we needed; now because either it was a mirage or injuries or what it clearly is nothing special

THAT was what was giving me hope this season might be different then the last 26 years.

Now I used to be a Cubs fan for the 70's and 80's but I gave up; by the time they finally did win it all I was indifferent; too much losing burned me out

I have been a Cowboys fan since the SB loss to the Colts and probably the Landry years and the Jimmy years were enough to keep me from giving up just yet.

But the morons that say go root for another team are the real losers here.

At some point you have to question your fandom and if it makes sense for your mental health and wellbeing. Personally I don't let the Cowboys affect me much anymore because it is what it is. I expect some close games, maybe a few exciting things but nothing beyond that.

This would appear to be a lie. Because you go from thread to thread whining about posters criticizing the team or not giving the team the benefit of the doubt or not having faith in the team.

So clearly you care.

LOL, it's a freaking sports message board. People complain and criticize the team. Go to any message board of a pro sports team and you'll see criticism and then of course fans like you whining that people are criticizing the team. You should probably find a team with an apathetic fanbase that don't have passion for the team where fans will complain when the team is failing again. Maybe the Falcons or Rams would better suit your needs as a fan?

Tampa Bay is terrible but if they get in they will beat this team. Like they always do. Like Brady always does.

If they can get New Orleans or Carolina instead yeah they can win and advance another week before being eliminated. Who cares?

Agree but you would like to build some momentum and confidence going into the last three regular-season games but I feel all three PHI, TENN and WASH will all be difficult.

You're wrong. This team isn't failing. It's now reached the playoffs in back-to-back years, first time It's done that since '96-'97. 10+ wins each year is not considered failing. Once again, it's you crybabies acting up and ruining any enjoyment for the rest of us on these boards.

The Cowboys have had good regular seasons in the past. But they've spit the bit in the postseason for 20+ years. They've failed year after year. This team deserves zero benefit of the doubt and the way they are playing right now is typically how they sputter as they head into January.

It is also important, as a grown up, to have proper expectations and live in reality, not fantasy.


You can hope all day long that the Cowboys win the SB, just like you can buy a lottery ticket every week and hope you win the jackpot, but it is important to realize and set your expectations accordingly that both of these outcomes have almost zero chance of happening.

I don’t know that they are one and done, I think they “survive” the 1st round just because the 4 seed will be so bad. Injuries have caught up to us and the defense has looked horrible the last 2 weeks. I think we get embarrassed in round 2.

The 4 seed will be the GOAT, and we have no ability to cover so I suspect we'll need to score 40 to win. We'll see.
