1. OL - yes injuries have plagued the OL, but where is the quality of depth on the OL, there isnt any. was letting Flo go really a smart idea?

2. Offensive play calling, first of all, can someone tell me who our running back is? who is our starter? most of all im very dissapointed in our commitment to the running game and the BALANCE of runs and passes.

3. FG kicker, im not sold on Beuhler, i seriously think we have a big FG Kicker problem on this team, that will eventually cost us later in the season.

more problems:
4.)an egotistical owner that thinks every thing he does (inlcuding drafting) will turn into gold
5.)a head coach that has no business being one
6.)an offensive coordinator with a Ivy League education that is stupid enough to call gimmick plays that don't work over&over&over
7.) a quarterback....nevermind,can't pin this one on him yet. Have to wait until he flops in the playoffs again for that.

Your #1 is Jerruhs fault. He has neglected offensive line depth for a long time. Now see the results. This team is going to be very bad this year because the line is old and won't stay healthy and nobody worth a crap will be there to step in. Just like last night.

At least that what I heard earlier.

 The OL has been a concern for us on an almost yearly basis, and our lack of depth may very well come back to haunt us big time as others on here have said. I know I'm far from being alone in my frustration with our inability to select quality OL in the draft. When it comes to our OL, I can't help but think of it as a dog chasing it's own tail, we just never seem to get anywhere with our OL. Again, I know I'm not alone with the frustration of our OL, but I had to vent anyway. I could easily add some more descriptive words/phrases when discussing our OL, but the mods would no doubt give me an earful over it if I did, so I won't.

those are certainly major concern areas. I would add....

- uncanny ability to make the crucial mistake at the worst possible time
- penalties penalties penalties
- we have a great DC but an over-his-head coach
- oh yea, and our owner is broke

I really thought two or three seasons ago Flozell should have been moved to the right side and another LT brought in. Because of their lack of depth on the O-line and Columbo's injury history, they would have been better served moving Adams over to the right side and allowing him to compete with Columbo for the starting job.

There is no commitment to the running game.

I think it was a bad move to make Beuhler the kicker, but I don't blame management (jerry Jones) too much for this one. I believe they invested a decent draft pick on Folk, I'm still upset that he flamed out like that.

Somebody needs to sticky this on Jerry Jones forehead.

Uh, penalties and not finishing drives need to be on your list.

i didnt get to watch any preseason games, and nor much of any of the offseason moves, so this is my opinion of the final product, i understand some of you spend countless hours reading every little tidbit all season long, so some of these problem areas might be old news to you. these were my impressions of our first game.

At least that what I heard earlier.

If YOU were a better fan, we would have won last night.

I blame you for the loss.

That's right...I said it.

If only we all had panicked after preseason this disaster could have been avoided. The fan outcry would have been so great that Jerry would have been forced to get a viable replacement for Barron.

1- 29 out of 32 teams has OL depth issues.

the problem isn't quality of depth. its the quality of starters.

2- yeah, the game plan left a little to be desired. but execution was awful too. same as last year, inside the redzone, the OL gets no push. plus, same problem again, we struggled against 3-4 defenses. we still can't pick up blitzes.

3- beuhler has everone worried. he will be average all year.
sometimes kickers get too excited and want to hit it too hard, so they pull it. then sometimes they know they are excited and they tell themselves to be calm, so they relax a little too much and forget to follow through the kick and they push it.

7- romo had a little fault in the 1st half screw up. the play was a hail mary. not a shuffle pass. he has to be smart enough to throw it and hope for the best or go down. why shuffle pass? makes no sense.

4/5ths of the O-Line played well last night. Free looked really good. Barron sucked, but you can't tell me that better playcalling would find a way to work around that to a degree. I think our 3 big issues are:

1) Jason Garrett, Das Wunderputz

2) FG kicking

3) No ready backup behind Gurode

YR

1 I don't see how Flozell would have helped there. He wasn't going to play right tackle for us.
2 Well I don't like the play call at the end of the half, but I don't see why it matters who the starters are. I thought the running game was productive, the problem was more with the execution than the play calls, although more shots down field would have been good.
3 I don't think that's one of the top 3 problems this team has at the moment. If Beuhler can't get it done next week, then it becomes a higher priority.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Those are certainly the most glaring issues with the team.
