Will put up record breaking numbers in passing.

When they get hot they can cause real problems for defenses.

Defense is always a problem

May lead to a few hot streaks but most seasons it’s about 500 or worse.

Now you see why Garrett played everything so close to the vest. Letting it all hang out when you don’t have the OL, DL, LBs, CBs or S to do so is stupid

Case in point, Mahomes and Baker were both starting QBs for Tech, and they were never relevant on a national stage while there.

 ......you lost me. I understand playing it close protecting a lead but we've HAD to hang everything out the last 4 game to catch up coz we were behind. In fact, not sure if you heard/seen the stat but we've had a lead something like 20 some of like 150 some mins.

I’m talking about in terms of tempo, empty sets, running misdirection, trying to get to complex in defensive coverages.

Garrett when faced with adversity went into a shell like the Saints game. McCarthy is saying we aren’t slowing down for anyone. Which is great when your team is fundamentally sound but also gets you down 30-15/28-14 and makes you play catch up
