Perhaps this is stating the obvious, but this is a completely different team without DeMarco Murray, or at a broader level, a solid running attack. Last night, Garrett came out with the righ game plan - establish the running game. Felix is not, nor will be ever be, a 30 carry a game runner.

The Cowboys were 5-0 in games which Murray had 15 or more carries this year.

The problem is the extent of his injury. Holding out hope that he returns healthy by training camp and is the same runner may be wishful thinking. The team needs a running back via free agency or the draft desperately this off-season. Yeah, they also need help at corner, o-line, etc. but I'd put running back at or near the top.

Murray's injury isn't career threatening is it? He fractured his ankle I thought? I would think he should be able to return from that.

I think a combo of Murray, Felix, and Tanner should be fine.

The team missed him but I don't think it would have changed the outcome. Our CB play would have impacted any chance we had at defeating anyone with a decent receiving corps and a good QB. These clowns made Grossman and Matt Moore look like pro bowlers.

I don't think Murray being out impacted us much.
Until Sunday, Felix looked great.

I do think it is obvious. IMO, OL is a higher priority but RB also makes the list.

We did miss him...he said on twitter he will be running in 2 months and that was 2 weeks ago

That's very good to hear.

This team wasn't one player away, Murray wouldn't of made a difference lest night, Dallas was not going to win, they aren't as talented where you need to be to win that game..

TIME TO SAY IT WHAT SHOULD OF BEEN DONE AFTER THE MINNESOTA PLAYOFF LOSS.......TIME TO REBUILD!!! Stop to endless patch work that never works..JERRY NEEDS TO GET IT IN HIS HEAD THAT THIS TEAM NEEDS AN OVERHAUL..

I repeat again, this team was 5-0 when Murray received 15 or more carries. Amazing what a solid running game does for a team.

I disagree with you. It's not as if the Giants are a head-and-shoulders better team than the Cowboys. If Murray is in the game and they make a few more first downs, the whole complexion of the game changes.

Anyway, the record speaks for itself.

I would love to see what Murray could do behind a NFL caliber offensive line, instead of that atrocity that Dallas put out there this season.

We need to find someone because Felix is simply not reliable and maybe Demarco isn't either.

Of course, those games were against St. Louis, Seattle, Buffalo, Washington and Miami ... all teams that finished with losing records and could score only 14.0 points per game against our defense.

MIA

...color me unimpressed

Just another Felix sucks thread.LOL.. color me surprised people need to look at the teams he had those great rushing numbers against. It wasn't a surprise that he exploded. How bout getting and oline and a dline a couple of line backers some corners and safeties and maybe a guy who can catch bc Miles can't and let's see how this team does.
