My two trade candidates would be Nick Foles or Teddy Bridgewater. Run the stupid Jason Garrett offence, run the ball and play defense. Two tight end sets and ball control offence will get you enough points to win games with a stingy defense. They do this and they could still possibly make a wild card spot. If not start the draft show early and tank.

What would everyone prefer Tank or Try to salvage some sort of a season?
I like taller QB's with strong arms. NFL history says it's the taller QB's with strong arms that win multiple Super Bowls. Someone 6'3" and a half will do. I'd stack the roster with taller the QB's, then build up one of the better offensive lines the league had seen. I'd build my defensive line up to stop the run and make sure my back seven is loaded pure tacklers.

We could bring in Carson Strong right about now.

This defense is not good enough to win. They might be good enough to not get ran off the field but a makeshift Tampa OL dominated up front. We only have one pass rusher. DLaw will only show up once every 4-5 games. WRs were open all night.

They let Tampa drive up and down the field all night. Did not force a punt until the 3rd qtr. Reminded me of the SF game. While the point total was not high, they got whipped all night, especially on the ground.

The time to get a capable backup has come and gone. Trading away anything at this point for a scrub journeyman will just compound the disaster. Jerry made the bed and has to sleep in it.
That couldn't be said any better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a bad way to go if that is the approach. Also find yourself a bigger back that can help zeke pound the rock and share the carries. That will preserve zeke

Im not trading anything for a QB. Nobody that you can get will make a difference. Why try to tread water until Dak comes back? He was as bad as I have ever seen before he got hurt last night.

He was bad the second half of last year (outside the games against putrid competition).

He now has a subpar wr corps and suspect offensive line. Add to that we are an undisciplined penalty machine.

This team has no hope for this season. Dak ain't carrying this team anywhere.

Defense WOULD have been good enough to win THIS game if Jerry and Stephen did not drop ball on signing Von Miller.

Even Randy Gregory would have been upgrade to Armstrong/Fowler/Basham.

Parsons cannot be the sole pass rush threat.
Tampa only scored 19 points. They only had 1 game last season when they scored less than 19. It is not reasonable to expect the defense to hold them to less than 19, especially when Tampa got a short field after the INT.

The loss was on the offense.

TB had 152 rushing yards, and you think this D is good? What makes you come to that conclusion?
Tampa scored 19 or more points in all but 1 game last season.

The loss is on the offense.

Points are what matter, not rushing yards.

Incorrect. Many have figured out that this just isn't true.

SF beat us specifically last year in the playoffs due to rushing yards. Man, candying over our bad performance by cherry picking stats is pretty weak, Walker. Points matter, yards matter, TOP matters, ST's matter. It all matters.

Points matter, but rushing yards are very relevant to. You're down in the game, trying to get back on the field. Stopping the run and 1st downs becomes very important, else you just run out of time.

Rushing allows teams to control the game. Hard to win w/o it, and even harder to win when you cannot stop it.

That was like a Campo like team last night, someone’s second roster QB isn’t saving this squad.

Also, concerning the D. TB OL was on backups. And yet, we could not pressure Brady. I think I saw him making out w/ Giselle in the pocket during one play.

This. Not enough people are acknowledging this. I’d love to hear those on this forum who defended the FO bungling of the potential Von Miller signing address this. You cannot win without a strong D-line.

I was against the Von Miller signing. Von Miller is a stop gap, not a solution. They signed Anthony Barr and frankly, he looks washed up to me. The problem is they let Gregory go and did not replace him. What happened to Fowler? Did he even play last night?

Miller is only 33. I think there is a lot left in his tank. I would love to have him.

the defense that gave up 152 yards of rushing and only 2 sacks against a thin OL riddled with injuries (similar to ours)

sorry, I don't see it.

I believe we are in for a pleasant surprise between now and the bye. In fact I predict a win next week.
