The guy just looks mean, he's mean, he's tough, he's a guy that can bring hopefully an edge to this team that we're so badly lacking. He seems to be the kind of guy that wants to do the beating, not taking the beating. There's a reason why this guy is still around and could possibly be our starting RG of the future. What are your thoughts on a player like Hoffman having an effect on this team? Please give your thoughts!!!

Gosh.

The guy is medicore at best. He just jumps in the eye because the rest is medicore at best too.

closest thing to Mark Columbo that I can remember.....but Columbo was much bigger

Post Colombo our line has always been soft and that includes Martin. The way they let that backup QB get demolished (was it Orton or Cassel?) and did absolutely nothing showed who they were.

love his neanderthal nastiness.
we need LOTS more of that.

Wasn't long ago that Parsons was the guy you all raved about for player attitude ..... until you all figured out how much he's in line to get paid. Then y'all turned on him. Lol.

you always miss the obvious
fans turned on a player that ran his mouth but rarely backed it up when it counted

We have lots of undrafted players that don't get paid much on our roster.

Can’t have pro bowlers at every spot. Ideally, we got our 3 pro bowl potential guys in Tyler, beebe, and (hopefully) Guyton, with a new RT and either Bass or Hoffman at RG. I’m ok with a mediocre yet mean, nasty mfer at RG if there are 3 studs on the line. Attitude and toughness is important and this team NEEDS more of it.

Hoffman has a nasty streak in him, Beebe in college did also. Add in Bass and we have some potential for sure. Remember the Great Wall Of Dallas was third rounders and cast offs but they played great together. Not saying we have that but you never know what you have till they get a CHANCE.

Well, he's a player who has to play with attitude if he wants to succeed because he has limited physical skills. Hoffman went undrafted, was signed and cut by the Browns, spent a year on our practice squad and was cut the next summer. Despite no one signing him and him making it back to our practice squad, when he got a chance during the regular season, he showed that he was going to work hard to succeed. And he continued to build on that this summer.

I give him a lot of credit for putting in the sweat equity when he's been behind the eight-ball at the start of his career. Hopefully, he keeps it up to be a solid backup and possibly a quality starter if called upon to do that. But I don't care, for instance, if a player like Tyler Smith plays with the same nasty attitude. That may not be who he is, but that doesn't mean he doesn't work hard and play hard to be one of the best guards in the league. I wouldn't consider Martin a mean player, but he's one of the best all-time. For Hoffman, playing with attitude seems to be what he needs, and I'm good with that.
