This team needs that signature road win to believe!

In the Romo years they went into Seattle and pulled a major upset, same thing when they beat an undefeated saints team in their building. When was the last time this team had that signature win on the road against an elite team? It happened in Dak’s rookie yr, but cannot remember anything since.

Until they prove they can win on the road against elite competition, in my opinion they are pretenders not contenders. Certainly defense/special teams have to do their part, but offense cannot continue to come up short. I think it is laughable that they are saying greatest offense ever aspirations when they haven’t accomplished anything

They need more than that signature win, we need to make believers out of ourselves, and do it often!! I think we have the right kind of guys here with Dak to rally the troops

Yes, that was at Green Bay. Rodgers got the equalizer where it mattered though.

A win over the Ravens at home would be nice. At Green Bay, meh. But going into Philly for a prime time game and serving notice that we intend to take the East would be a good win to finish the job they didn't the year before (looking at you, CeeDee) and maybe jumpstart real belief on the team and for fans.

Yeah but we can't look at the Giants as a signature road win can we because we've been here before Didn't Cowboys start a season a few years ago beating the Giants on the road I don't know it was a blowout it was almost like a shutout 40 to nothing or something I can't remember II know offhand it just pops in my memory that we did something like that.

So what's this signature win I'm pretty sure we nearly beat the Eagles last year and I know people can make excuses which they are they're real reasons if Sanders doesn't fumble that ball in the end zone or right outside the end zone inside the five and if CD Lamb doesn't have a complete loss of focus we would have beat the Eagles game one we played well enough to beat the Eagles Game 1 So I'd say that we also came out and played pretty well on the road against Tampa Bay and I believe it was either the year Tampa won with Tom Brady or it was the following year right after the Super Bowl but either way they they played really well I know you want a signature win but it's not like we've been laying eggs against every team on the road There's just those couple the weird games against Denver and Arizona that I just can't explain...

So what game are we Game one or have you picked one out on the schedule?.

..it wont matter, Dallas could plow them 34-0

Next day, they'll say. NYG had new coach, defense was missing two players, NY field was sloppy wet ..etc.

Signature wins, come in post season. :)..
Yeah that's why it wouldn't be a signature win it's an expected win game one so we have to pick another one on the schedule.. But that's what the fan base would do our own fan base would come at our own team for a win and say Oh yeah that was just expected..

Unexpected at all I think Harbaugh has planned for the Cowboys many times when he was with the Ravens He knows how to game plan he has a good enough team to beat the Cowboys at home and he's not gonna wanna start out with a loss for his Giants tenure..

Anybody thinks this game is going to be easy or a blowout that's ridiculous that's would be something I would not expect from fans for as bad as the Cowboys have been the last two years and having to go on the road against a rival with a new coaching staff and a lot to look forward to depending on who's playing is there * receiver is scattaboo playing I mean they definitely are going to be looking to crush us given the fact that they got inspired even though they shouldn't have for beating us the last game of the year..

Gonna look at this as they want to start getting rid of the stink of losing to the Cowboys so much they now beat us at the end of the year whether it was relative or not they can stack that with another win so anybody you expects this to be anything but a fight in a tough game to come out of a win that I feel bad our fans have not grown up yet..

I have such a little faith in this team that I would believe that, even though they beat a great team on the road, the next week they would turn around and lose to a dog at home

The only signature wins to me would be against a team in the divisional round or in the conference championship game

I dunno that I feel that way, but they definitely have a tendency to not show up for home playoff games regardless of who the HC is. I have no idea why, but it’s the truth

Anything that remotely sounds like Garrett needs to be banned around here.
Garrett would say this, "First we need to go out and beat the New York "Football" Giants!! It always annoyed me that he would say "football" giants. It's like Dude, you're in the NFL. What other giants could you possible be talking about? smdh

Against the Giants we will probably come out flat and be down at halftime, then rally and win the game...24-13

Had it going in the first game against the champs last year and #88 forgot how to catch……

I get what the OP is trying to put down. It's that beating a really good team (especially one everyone expects you to lose to...i.e. San Francisco) can change the mindset of a team. There's a difference between stacking wins against teams you're supposed to beat and going into a tough environment and saying, "Yeah, we can play with these guys." That kind of win can build confidence, change perception, and give the team some real momentum heading into the tougher stretch of the season.

Does this Shotty-led team have it? I don't know, but it would be nice to see.

This season could be something really special. Enjoy the moment.
